That needle when i first seen it, said to me 'our sins have pierced eternity'. Incidentally, Bambi is half Swedish. The educational culture in Sweden, i think from the 80s encouraged parents to let the children make the decisions in their lives. When many of these children reached their teens, their first reaction to leaving home was a nervous breakdown. Social scientists and social psychologists did studies into this uniquely Swedish phenomenon to come to the conclusion it was the lack of a parenting culture which was to blame. Hardly surprising, they could have just asked a 3yr old. I had thought that Thug was a very immature 18 yr old. I later found out she is in her mid thirties. As a mental health worker, i can confidently speculate she has what looks like a couple of personality disorders. Of course as a priest Fr you will know that demon possesion looks like that too. Either way she is clearly very unwell.

Theirs a man in the US called DR Gerry marsinsky (and I'm not spelling that right for sure!) He worked for 30 something years in the US prison system as a mental health nurse, now retired. He did numerous interviews on the hidden link between demonic oppression and mental health. For anyone reading my comment I highly recommend looking up one of these interviews on YT theirs numerous ones, I promise you won't be disappointed. Demonic oppression is absolutely real.

By using the First Official language, Gaeilge as Clannad and other Irish performers do, the recent Eurovision 24 entry from Ireland could have been great. The fact the Eurovision is sponsored by company from country involved in Genocide and Crimes against Humanity, that denied the Dutch entry perform as a result of the Court in the Hague bringing the case of Genocide and Crimes against Humanity. As you are a Anglo, you most likely think everyone from Ireland has a problem. In the event you are not a Anglo, and consider yourself like many others from ROI. There is a opportunity to speak the First Official language, Gaeilge as the Anglo language is a language of those responsible for Genocide in Ireland, The Great Famine. also the Jewish Ulster in M.E. I'm just back from Medjugorje and the faith there would but Ireland to shame...The lady who runs the guest house I stay in commented about our Eurovision entry...I can't remember the Croatian word but in English she just said... Catastrophic. Ireland needs to return to Our Lady and the Eucharistic.

The teenage rebellion element in the likes of Bambi and her ilk is rather tiresome. Like the younger people of each successive generation, they think it’s the first time we’ve been here. Ireland has as you say always been a dark place, it’s just that now we hear about it and it’s out in the open. Shameful things were always present but hidden, nowadays it’s in our face via all the media sources we enjoy. Poor wee Bambi trying so hard to be relevant just as we all did in our day.

Not easy to cipher what the Druids were really about at the highest level of their Celtic priestly society but its clearly obvious by the monuments they left behind at Newgrange and elsewhere that they were well versed in the arts of astronomy, geometry, construction to mention but some and presumably like the Greeks and Romans of the day they worshipped a plethora of various and mythical Gods, not too unlike modern day humans in many disrespects. Anyways Bambi and co. are the pride and joy of our present political class and P.M. Harris let it be known in the media how soooooo proud he was of all ''SHE'' represented in Irish modern youth. Not at all sure its the same path he will be so proud and wish for his own offspring to follow though.

gone are the days of river dance (edit) Last year I was in Dublin, I now recall having a dream of a dragon and a Hill and one old lady in bus looking very pissed of at me. The other thing I remember is the Latin mass and the homily about martyred Christians in Uganda for not going along with the pedastry of their King. I was kinda shocked Dublin had more Rainbowfalgs than Amsterdam in my estimation. And that is quite a feet.

As for human sacrifice and druids and such, we are certainly there in the US, just a bit more finesse among the practitioners, for now. Although I would say it a tad more Aztec in flavor over here, for the moment, but as earth worship progresses and we tune in our inner Pachamama I think things will ger dicier for many.

Fr. Brendan, so what about the readings at Holy Mass when for a reader changes the word men to people or sons of Isreal becomes people of Isreal. I believed the Holy Bible was the inspired writings of the Holy Spirit or did the Third person of the Holy Trinity God get it wrong!!. Nice dog.

For context you need to go back to the original Greek and see what was meant. In old English "men" was used for all mankind so saying people is perfectly fine, same for brethren.

When I moved to Los Angeles in 1987, I had a date with a lady from Ireland who had just moved to the U.S.. She was a dyed-in-the-wool anti-clerical Socialist. I asked her why she moved to the U.S. if she was such a dedicated Marxist. She replied, “Well, there are no jobs in Ireland. Unemployment is over 20%. America has all the wealth.” She said it as if we had stollen it. I suggested that the wealth of a nation is often created, not stollen, through hard work and industry. Perhaps, Ireland may want to embrace what an unfettered market creates. The concept was utterly lost on her as if she had been brainwashed that economies are zero sum games. I thought then there was no hope for the land of my forefathers if this is the sort of education people receive over there. The Irish Tiger set my fears aside, but only momentarily it would seem. The West, and Ireland in particular, seems to suffer from an addiction to the pseudoscience of dialectical materialism and the philosophies which descend therefrom. We will suffer cruelly if we cannot free our minds from the grasp of such thinking. Indeed, the very essence of what it means to be human is being hideously mutated by devotees of the construct with each passing day.

Although I agree with you that modern Ireland has gone down the toilet please don’t forget the obelisk in St Peter’s square. It is lack of moral leadership from the Catholic Church who for years so abused their position of authority that they lost the respect of their people. Now due to lack of trust there is no moral compass no respect for life or property. Ye are as much if not more to blame for this crisis as the likes of Bambi Thug (although I’m not a fan).

I'm half Irish (mother is from Ballina) and half English (Staffordshire - Tolkien's own country and inspiration for the Shire in LOTR). On this matter I wish my Irish cousins would just take a leaf out of the Brit's books and for the most part, apart from a few die-hards, ignore and disregard the Eurovision song contest. It's an aweful racket that has more to do with politics and national popularity than it ever has had to do with musical excellance. On the general rise of paganism, a lot of people across the ditch (Irish sea) are starting to regret the loss of Christianity in public and private life. It has left the country ripe for takeover by Mohammadans, communists, pagans and all other kinds oh nihilistic ideologies. People are going back to church again.
