This doesn't look anything like the Tam Vong that I'm used to working with which I've been calling D. Strictus for 3 decades. Its been called Monastery ( T. Siamensis) bamboo, which it isn't, so I'm even more off the trial in identifying it. HAHA! Thanks!

Great observation. Tam Vong continues to mystify. As stated in the video, a lot of characteristics can change depending on the growing conditions, but the culm sheath shape will not. Do you have any good photos of the Tam Vong culm sheath?
