Bamboo is so versatile and totally eco friendly. Besides replacing plastic and metals in construction, growing bamboo and processing it creates jobs world wide, especially in growing economies. Let us all promote bamboo use.

I would love to see a bamboo ocean going ship design of at least 100' (30 meter) lengthbuilt and tested and sailed all over the Pacific to demonstrate just how usable it really is

IBUKU is the organisation in Bali and Indonesia which developed stability in bamboo which cannot keep for a longer period its stability. It is necessary to immerse the bamboo completely in borax by wich a stability of about 120 years is established.
