This is an exciting upgrade! 😎 That flow bump is pretty impressive! 👏

75$ for this when you can get a 16$* one from ali with a similar performance? No not impressive. 70% of the price i guess is in the name.

18mm3/s isn't even stock flow

How do you upload a hot end comparison and not notice the massive print defects on the ''upgrade"?
@reyalPRON2 ай бұрын
blobs and imperfections on the right one though?

@@MrBiggs-wu2kf im picky.. i throw away what other take pictures and post as success. its not the hotends problem though. its incorrect set slicer settings. i got one of these at 0.4 as the smaller sizes are so slow. i tested and they deliver about 20-30% higher flow than stock with no faff at the same temps. so more correct would be noob sliced imo

How is it possible to launch a product like this when my aliexpress knockoff cht hotend does 35mm3 steady? What's the point of this nozzle?
@Mama-Gen6 ай бұрын
I have the same cht hotend, but mine keeps clogging up when I use ams

Look at the top left of E3D vase. Fast print with artefacts ? no, thanks

Suppose it away of them being honest and not removing or editing it out. I wonder if the quality returns if you dial it back a little so it’s still a speed boost just not the limits of that one..

Could also just easily be a filament that can't keep up. Which happened to some other filaments including Bambu Labs own filament with previous high flow hotends. With anyhting above 25mm you really want to use high speed filament. There are a few different brands with good hs pla these days. Creality Hyper PLA, Qidi Rapido PLA, Geetech/Giantamt HS PLA, Gratkit HS PLA and ACTIVEME Speedy PLA all worked great for me so far.

So true, I'll take a clean print any day. The bambu nozzle was set slower too, so it's not a fair comparison. If the bambu performs worse ay the same speed as obsidian, then that is something.
@kilianlindlbauer82777 ай бұрын
@@KieranShortcnc kitchen has done a comparison with a stock hardened steel nozzle and a aliexpress cht one. The aliexpress nozzle resulted in better layer adhesion compared to the bambu one. Not only measurable, but also in reality. So even if you dont need the higher flow capability its nevertheless a improvement, especially for those who print functional parts. Also 18mm3/s are 180 to 225mm/s on a 0,4mm nozzle. As for the print defect in the vase, i would bet that cooling didn't keep up as vases have rather low layer times. The bambu nozzle was set slower because you would have underextrusion or the extruder would constantly skip, so not an unfair comparison at all.

@@KieranShort if you can push 29 mm^3/s through a standard bambu 0.4 nozzle without severe underextrusion im impressed

Cool but 29mm3 isn't that impressive though? Expected more from something marketed as a "HF" hotend.
