hey guys, I am come back with another review video. We are going to talk about Bambu Lab A1 today. Yep, right after I bought my A1 mini and wait long lead time and received my a1mini on late Nov, Dec 14 they have leased A1. Well, I knew they will do it, a larger size A1 seires. But I didn't see it coming this soon. The moment I saw the price of A1, immediately I regret with purchase a1mini..
I like how quiet A1 is and the performance of it. Not as good as a core-xy machine tho. But I can see this A1 is designed to be high speed bed slinger from the ground up. You will see how much work their engineer put in there to reduce the noise. Still wondering if the passive cooling for the mainboard is good enough or not. PSU seems also not cooling fan, that's why it is slience during idle.
I think this model will be another volume seller from bambu lab, not perfect, but very solid hardware offer and easy to getting start.

You won’t get accurate temperature readings using an IR laser temperature gun due to the build plates reflectivity.

On my a1, I moved the cable holder more to the center of the tubes so the cable doesn’t droop

I have the same issue with my A1 Mini regarding the evenness of the first layer, mine looks very much like the one you get on the A1. I haven’t tried it yet on my A1. It seems like the nozzle is a tiny bit too low, but I haven’t found any way to change that.

You should be able to change the starting g-code offset value to increase the distance. I think it is somewho random deficiency with the eddy sensor bed leveling algorithm.

I have both the A1 Mini and the A1. I am a bit disappointed on the noise level of the A1, I think it has a little bit higher fan noise, but it is quite a bit noisier on the y-axis. Do you have the same experience?

did you try to clean and re-lube the y axis? Mine Y axis does not have loud noise issue tho.

5:30 time to prepare? Darn. Looks like I will once again have to have for a better 3d printer. They keep coming out with so called faster models but the prep time is unacceptable.

the printing opposite corners test not much use, auto arrange groups items together, if you have a large item using the build plate you not slinging the bed, has no bearing on what the A1 can do print quality wise as no one would ever do it. I have 8 core xy machines in my small business farm, they all give me more hassle than the few bed slingers I have as they are more complex, try reviewing a machine after 5,000 hours use and then we get to real world. and see how they perform in non-stop use, after 1,000 hours each will try and make the results available

I think that's one of the reason Prusa still one the best machine out there.
