He just broke the record last night at Carolina Dragway! He cut a 10.4, 1.49 60ft at 132mph. He is now the new world record holder for the fastest 370z in the 1/4 mile.

Is this a built or stock block? The current record was 10.72et on a stock block. Built engines should have their own record class.

These cars are not meant for quarter miler racing. Suspension and trans upgrade car should be in the low 10's or high 9's. As you can see it hates coming off the line hard.

Yeah. Sad thing is now they make turbo kits for f150s to get bone stock single cabs into the 10s you can refer to on3s bone stock shop truck they do prototype kits on.

A tuned suspension (for quarter mile setup), use a lower gear ratio (one from the Auto 3.32 vs stock 3.69), a different tune on the engine (raise power band to 8.5k rpms) and they could have a 10 second Z.

Titan 8.5k rpm will be too high for non built engine. Stock is only 7500

A trap speed of 133 is pretty wicked. My 370z has a single turbo setup and I have her running mid 11's on street tires and trapping 125 to 127. What kind of setup is this Z running? Is it a twin snail?

that 370 looks like it will do some serious work, just need to work on his launch, and adjust the suspension so he doesn't transfer so much weight to the rear.

Wow this changed quick there in the 9's now on a 6 speed. That 370z is coming along with the help of turbos. Nissan needs a new twin turbo Z.

It seems very weird that a turbo 370z hasn't gone faster than 10.7. Not being a fanboy here, but I feel like at least a few people have built insane 370 turbos that could pull 9s. For any given car there's always a few that have been built ridiculously quick.

I know this is old, but I think he gets fuel starvation. The stock fuel pump is known to starve in hard acceleration and in harder right-corners. I get it myself. There is a custom fuel pump that fixes this for about $1k ... and also work on those launches. Maybe get stiffer rear sus

Pretty dissapointing record tbh, and Im not hating on the 370z. Love the car and the vq37. But the ams Q60 ran a 10.6 with bolt ons and a tune :(

Love my TT Z but these cars are definitely a pain in the ass to launch and shifting from first to second gear, for whatever fucking reason, just isn't smooth. Sure driver mod helps but I think it just goes back to the engineering of the car. Its not meant to be a straight line car.

It's not, its meant for the corners on a track, but with drivermod and a good tune +suspension, it should be able to launch just like any other RWD cars on a drag strip.. no excuses.
