Great content as always BSJ, thanks dude! Lets talk 🌲 TREANT 🌲 The Facet "Sapling" that modified Leech Seed has made Treant feel EXCEPTIONALLY powerful. I loved the hero before, I'm OBSESSED now. Previously, we could only Leech Seed on enemies, meaning we could only really perform a significant heal when our opponents were fighting something. Now I can do a drive-by on the move heal by dropping that tree down next to my team, and I'm regularly healing 20-30k in my ranked pub games (Treant spammer here). It effectively increases the range on Leech Seed by a significant amount, and allows us to blindfire it into Fog of War where we KNOW they are, and then you can track the seedlings as they follow the heros, thus granting us info on exactly where they are AND where they are going for the duration of the seedlings chase. But wait, there's more! Leech Seed goes from a single target spell, to an AOE. At max level, with the bonus Leech Seed damage/heal, before resistance is calculated... Leech Seed translates to a 1100 life point differential between US and a single enemy hero. But... What if theres multiple heros, and Leech Seed is draining all of them, and healing our team? If we have an ally and theres two enemy heros (common laning dynamic), this translates to a massive life point differential at very early stages of the game, on a short cool down spell. I just need mana on Treant to stay alive in lane, I've cut down on Tangos dramatically, start with Windlace and even a Magic Stick and I just rush Ring of Basilius. And finally, Sapling makes Leech Seed into a much much stronger lane pushing tool because it drains all the creeps not just one - Leech Seed + Natures Grasp is sufficient to clear an entire wave, and heal our wave to full. I've won a lot of apparently unwinnable games by going full TreantRatDota, using Leech Seed + Grasp as a pushing tool to both heal my wave and clear the enemy wave. Kaya into Meteor Hammer is a very natural progression, as Kaya already feels exceptioanlly good on Treant. Oh and don't get me started on outplays and jukes with Leech Seed planting a TREE that blocks line of sight and pathing 😂 My current build as a P5 is usually the following: START - Windlace (250) - Magic Stick (200) - Obs + Sentry (50) - Tango (90) EARLY - Ring of Basi - Wand or Boots - Arcane Boots MID - Blink - get Shard from Tormentor at 20min - Kaya or Vlads Anywhoo, I think that Primeaval Power is undeniably strong and free, as Treant is deceptively vey aggressive in lane, BUT I think Sapling is on a whole different level and adds an enormous amount of value and utility and power to Treant that he didnt have before. While Primeaval Power falls off later (we don't do a ton of sustained punching later in the game, mainly just Blink + Guide roots) Sapling starts good and only gets better. My winrate with Treant in Ranked is over 70%. May you bark stay stiff and your wood hard. (Steps off Soapbox) 🌲 🌲 🌲

They keep adding things to DOTA. I stopped playing since they expanded the Map but still watch some pro games. Miss playing it a lot!!!

People are sleeping on ES slugger facet. It works with creep kills. On a core ES, it's an auto won lane.

The first game I played in the new patch I played bristle as a pos 4. If you start with nasal goo you can pretty much just run at people the whole game with warpath. I went orb of venom and then got arcanes and vessel, then just bought tanks aura items like vlads and pipe to buff up the team. Obviously you lack disable as a support but you still have the bristle effect of running people down and soaking up spells. You can still make shard/aghs too to scale damage if you need to.

The Legion Commander second facet also works in reverse: if you lose the duel it gives the enemy team that helped take you down bonus damage. So much risk for a hero who's ult gets countered pretty easy.

Flayers hook is good because it gives you some bonus for doing extended hooks by blinking after hook

I think bristleback situation is actually the oposite, atack speed instead of damage is a nerf to right click

AXE callout is also more about lane creeps hittin u faster so u spin more - i highly recommend to check it out bc its better then it sounds

they need to do more stuff like this that breaths new life and mechanics into old heroes to keep the game feeling fresh

Learning curve on ogre is great. You hit your ult at lvl 5 and it works well with midas. Getting all of Ogres talents 1 lvl sooner is great as well.

Hey BSJ, you should check out a post I made on the DOTA2 subreddit about Earth Spirit's Stepping Stones facet yesterday. I feel it's potentially borderline broken as it allows you to do AM level splitpushing and distance covering, with Urn + Kaya. With Kaya Sange you can Roll, Smash and Pull off CD meaning you can roll from lane to lane blasting creepwaves while being 10 seconds away from other lanes in case of a teamfight incoming or erupting. You get farmed super fast this way while having insane levels of map pressure, without even showing on the creepwave. On level 20 you instaclear the wave with only bouldersmash. You can still kick opponents back when rolling into them, you just need to move an inch back and then do it, it's completely reliable. Also you have infinite magnetize with godlike chasing potential, if afraid of dying just roll through the trees and keep magnetize up while Kicking and Pulling. With Octarine it gets ridiculous.

My experience with Earthshaker is that Slugger is more about farming, even as a support, it allows you to get blink at 13 min easily. I find the Tectonic is hard because it rarely has much effect on your game.

100% agreed with BSJ, leg day is one of the best-named facets, ironic on a hero who slithers.

Not really an Elder Titan player, but Deconstruction was really powerful in the game that I tried it out!

Both of ET's facets are BUSTED! I'm having a freaking blast right now! My only issue is early game purges since it removes the astral spirit buff and Phoenix before I have aghs.

Its so very obvious that a lot of facets were made just so they are there, and many "innates" are the same abilities the heros always had but separated from the ability slots... valve never changes.

I'd love it if we get to the point where a facet allows characters to be for 2 roles. Like some characters can go from Support to Carry. Or more subtle like nuker to initiator or something.

i disagree on treant. being able to plant a tree and heal a core is way better than 5dmg per level. you dont need a enemy hero/creep to heal, that's big.

Hey the axe one is interesting. The facet that gives you extra armour when alone isn't going to help much if you can't get your enemy low enough to ult. However, the attack speed increase could be the difference between getting the kill vs not getting the kill and risking retaliation. Thoughts?

BSJ Kinda forgot one thing about WK: Bone Guad reincarnation now summons an extra skeleton. So instead of 1/2/3 its 2/3/4 which is a major buff. On lvl 6 thats double the amount of skeletons which is huge. If you are playing against supports that in general are slow and squishy you absolutely melt them with those extra skeletons spawned from your ult. I feel like those extra skeletons are worth taking in to account when comparing the facets.

the underlord cleabe has potential tho, it can cleave across the screen almost. add crit to that suddenly you have a forcefield of damage

The 2nd facet of Spirit breaker isnt meme. When defending high ground you can literally hook people inside by ulting and the charging them, if you have force staff it's even more absurd.

4:30 I'll have to test it in demo mode to see the exact requirements but I've definitely had 600ms outside of ulti in a couple of my centaur games and I only had one heart. +75% STR from shard stacks plus SnY can probably get you there with only one heart.

Underlord with his portal minions has become my favorite 4. It's a better version of NP. TP right on an enemy, traps them with ur aghs, retrap them with your abil, minions come out and you can go right back to where u came after.

Why isn't pos1 Pitlord in high MMR? It works well in heralds: farms like Sven or Tiny and can join any fight like Spectre.

When you're Giga-Tidehunter you go Manta and cover the whole screen with mean green. It's almost a taunt.

Learning curve on a mid Ogre should allow you to dominate the lane with ease. You can simply spam a 180 damage dot for 90 mana on lvl 2 and laugh at the enemy mid.

i wonder why treant gets an auto attack facet when his shard still disables his auto attacks constantly. imagine if riki or PA had their auto attacks disabled :D

The should change Alch's facet to give Greed bonus gold on denies instead of the +250 gold to start. It would change how he is played and be a big benefit to people good at CS and denying

Lifestealer Unfeattered is kinda funny to me as it looks so similar to Rage. Players who are used to fight against LS are usually saving their disables while Rage is active, and will only throws them until rage is about to finish, so it kinda fcks with people muscle memory as they're so used to play around Rage. They might be reluctant to cast disables during Unfeattered, so it can technically becomes Rage 2.0 against some players. The only issue is that this facet is absolutely terrible against slows and spammable DoTs, and AoE area denial spells.

I like the idea of facets but in reality there’s a “right” and “wrong” choice for 95% of heroes. Hopefully they get balanced so there’s actually a choice to make

Imo myxologist is way better on support alch in pubs. Throwing stuns and berserker potions is the only thing supp alch does in teamfight, so by picking that facet the hero instantly gets a lot more useful in fights. In addition feeding bottle to a random person you don't know and propably might never play together with again is a bad idea. You never know if your mid isn't some guy that just queued all queue for roles and got mid by accident. I'd save bottle buying only for pre-mades and maybe very high mmr games.

BB Snot Rocket is disgusting if you have no easy way to dispel or have slow resistance + they have two ranged cores.

Flayer's hook Ive tested it. It deals 100 dmg more than normal hook, after the PATCH buff it deals 180more damge (250max)) with aether lens at max range. Totally not worth it

They need to change monkey’s facets i mean cmon no cd on tree dance while at 100% hp? Thats good only if u re support because most of the time u ll not be full hp as a core even support. They should change it to be like he s an actual ranged hero( i know he has better range than ta but ta can buy dragon lance for that and mk can increase his range by having the tier 1 item only so its pointless later on) The real monkey can enlarge his staff as much as he wants too so that would be a good change since the hero is pretty weak and he can barely stack his jingu without lockdown while other heroes get op facets( LC RIDICULOUS SHIELD )

Gleaming hammer for Dawn is a bait, not only does it not work without a point in your ult, aka laning stage its useless, but its numbers are horrid for sustain at the cost of dmg because calling the hammer back just deals more dmg. And the radius is awful. Bait facet, I wouldn't ever take it. If Its numbers were boosted and it worked without having ult, then maybe.
