as i understand at the end, the scientist wanted to save his daughter by creating a creature with real organs. he put his DNA in the monster (i'm pretty sure it's because her daughter need to have an organ that have his family's DNA. you know, to avoid rejection,etc...) but he didn't realise that he just create a clone of himself. This clone was so afraid of what his original self have become and killed him by accident.

So when they get the dna of the person, they not only grow the organs for/of this person, they essentially become a clone but still look and sound the monsters? They gain the memories and emotions but not the looks? I think that’s what it means, and then they try to fight back because they think their the real ones or other people look bad to them

From what I gathered the doctor wanted to use these creations to make clones to harvest compatible organs from. It was very hyped up but it all went wrong. The clones didn’t succeed at first, broken amalgamations of limbs and features. Then the clones got more precise and violent. I don’t know if they were all naturally violent or knew what fate awaited them and went to protect themselves. The clones attacked the doctors/scientists and everyone either got out or died besides this guy. The next part is a little complicated. He has the pass there which implies he’s staying by choice. There’s also a gun which I can only imagine he wasn’t going to use on the clones. He made a successful clone of himself for whatever reason and it tried to kill him. He defeated it. It is then revealed he is a clone, which can mean a few things. The original him may be dead whether by the clones hands or by the gun. The clone has come to the realisation they aren’t even the real guy. Everything they believed is a lie. While born out of good intentions he harmed so many people and condemned himself to live with his demons. (I could very much be wrong or missing something though)

Follow up upon rewatching. The ‘clone’ that attacked him was the real him. Evidenced by a split second security feed that showed what was really happening. The clone hallucinated and stabbed the real doctor who went to kill the clone that stabbed him
