Great reaction. Bestie is a slight departure for the band as it is a collaboration with the guitarist from Incubus and decided to change their look to match the mood of the song. Thanks for continuing to react to Band-Maid, spreading the word.

American Pie 1 & 2....this was co-written with Mike Einziger from "Incubus". Band-Maids next album will have a few "Co-Labs". It is a cool song.

Great point about how Band-Maid is able to seamlessly connect slower tempo or ballad moments to blazing solos that unfold organically. This is something that Kanami & co. have perfected.

You mentioned the nostalgia of it. Bestie was written as a collaboration between Band Maid and Mike Einziger, the guitarist from Incubus. Definitely has a bit of a late 90s-2000s vibe to it.

Kanami's solo in Daydreaming has that kind of emotional punch, and that is a very ballady song, That's a song worthy of a top 10 listening experience for sure.

Welcome home Miss Brewtiful! It's great to see you reacting to Band Maid again. I hope you are having a wonderful day. This song was a collaboration between our favorite Maids and Mike Einziger of Incubus. They recently (last week) did another collaboration with The Warning, but they haven't released an official video of it yet. The Maids will be releasing a new album sometime this summer, so we should see some new videos from them soon, I hope. If you haven't reacted to the official live version of "Hate?" then I am sure you will love it, and you will definitely want to see the lyrics on that one. "Corallium" would be another great one for you to try, although there is no "video" for it, you can find it on their channel as an audio track under either the "Unleash!!!!!" album or the "Sense" single. Please take very good care of yourself and have an amazing week.

If Sixteen Candles or The Breakfast Club was made today, "Bestie" would be a perfect outro song for the movie's ending. This is just a super beautiful song. I really love it!

I attained a certain level of coolness among my female high school classmates by pointing out what a great track "If You Were Here" by the Thompson Twins was in the climactic Molly Ringwald-gets-the-guy scene 😊 Bought an LP by them, nothing else grabbed me but it would be interesting to see what I think now.

Band-Maid's Kanami Tono knows how to do transitions. She'll do crazy things like ask the other members to "Write a Chorus" and send it to her, then she'l sit at a MIDI keyboard, enter them all into a file, and then weave them all together. She makes them flow into each other; don't ask me how.

Bestie, in the vein of other great mid-tempo Band-Maid songs like Daydreaming, About Us, Memorable, Anemone, Endless Story, PAGE, Wonderland, Awkward, Start Over, Mirage, At the Drop of a Hat and Smile, was co-written by Michael Einziger of Incubus. MISA's playing and bass tone are setting new standards... and Akane's drumming is so in-the-pocket and distinguishable... and Kanami's solo is Daydreaming masterful! The recording and mix are as enjoyable as the song and beautiful MV! And Miku’s English lyrics are heartfelt. Is Band-Maid a band of fashion-forward, trend-setting Besties? 💞 Thx, Mikey, Band-Maid and Ms Brewtiful! FYI - The Maids just released a "Making of Bestie" on their websites where they explain the song and look of their awesome MV.

Great reaction!1 It’s funny that you loved ‘Hate?”, as did I. But then the Maids followed it up with “Bestie”, a song with a completely different vibe….and you loved it…..as did I!! Who can do this? I tell you who, Band Maid does this….flawlessly. It is Band Maid doing Band Maid things. Best band on the planet past, present and the foreseeable future. I LOVE BAND MAID❤❤

Miss Brewtiful, I'm so glad you're back and reacting to music from my favorite band. Band-Maid, of course. I agree with you that this song is perfect for a friendship, best friends movie. It would also be perfect for the friendship collage for a PowerPoint presentation. It's beautiful in so many aspects sound, background, costumes, and above all, its lyrics. I say Kanami does not have to open her mouth. Her guitar sings for you.

❤ New suggestion? Sure: You might like "The Sixsters". They are an all girl band (very young) from Ukraine,currently living in Germany. Their songs are all very good, just pick one. I suggest starting with "For us ... For me ...." 🎸🎤

Welcome back to watching the Maids. It's been a while. It's a different size of the Maids and I agree, this is a very easy to like song. If you liked this, then "Daydreaming" is another rock ballad masterpiece. It's in my top 2 songs. And why not, as according to an interview, it is Kanami's favorite song to play. They only have the OMV on the official site. But in the past Kanami has done the intro on a piano on stage before. At the 10th Anniversary Tour Finale show at Yokohama arena, I was hoping to see Kanami on the keys for "Daydreaming". She didn't, but the intro for the Tour Finale version was a mesmerizing, eye watering, body tingling experience. PO!🕊 🤘😆🤘
