The song is filled to the brim with details. You can tell that it belongs to that group of songs dedicated to anime or television, it reminds me a lot when they released Glory, Sense or Shambles. Of course, as a leitmotiv, it will help them make a name for themselves within the music designed for that market. From this song I especially like Kanami's solo, that Soul oasis in the raging sea. Thanks Howard! You are the fastest reactor west of the Pecos River.

Thanks so much! As usual we agree ;) ! I was first to react again wasn't I haha? Despite all my waffle, my neurotic tendencies get me there first fairly often 😋! Thanks again!

I'm sure the Anime "Grendizer U" Ending is happy to have this great song! As always, such a well written, played catchy song from Band Maid

This was supposed to be a theme song for an anime aimed at the French market. Hence, "La la la la".

Mincho and Misa are supposedly debuting their signature guitars in this one.

THIS....is Band-Maid.

In a strange way, I think you're kinda right. But those two sides, the side that has the core sound and the side that can easily try other things, they both come together to make something truly special 😊! A good day for all us masters and princesses

This song is so catchy and yet so experimental! Love where Saiki goes falsetto with Islamic flavour, the little Koto or Sitar part after the first chorus, One of my favourite solos by Kanami and the final assault from the Band-Maid gang and what a finish! Some people may say it sounds like any other Band-Maid anime songs but it has the splash of middle eastern spice. Love it so much 😍

Hey! Have you explained somewhere why Bubble is your favourite? It's off topic, so don't explain here. I'm really interested. That's a cool fav. 🙂 I want to know why!

Thanks so much for asking! Back in 2021 I did a video about this topic. I'll link it :) . The video was a little rough around the edges, but I think it gets the point across :) kzfaq.info/get/bejne/fqmJddB6nLzGpmw.html

I didn't hear very well ( on the phone with background noise) but I heard little bits from a lot of different Band-Maid songs. It's gonna be good live.

I think live it'll be really fun. Hope you get to enjoy the full version soon too! :)

Imho the "Oo lalala" would've gotten old fast if used for more than the bookends. In fact I think it would have been better to only have three repetitions instead of four at the beginning, with the added bonus of being a classic Band-Maid timing twist. But after a week to wrap my head around it, I really like the song.

I have to say, I'm at a bit of a loss with Band-Maid. I love them dearly, but I can't say I've really enjoyed anything they've done since Unseen World, and that was three and a half years ago now. It's actually quite a shock to realise that all they've put out since then is one mini-album and a handful of singles. I do think Protect You was a little better. It did make me think it merits a few more listens, which is usually a good sign of a song being a 'grower' for me, even if it does still, yet again, have that 'tinny' guitar sound which I'm not keen on. I live in hope that they can get back to a 'meatier' sound, if only for a few songs, on the next album - presuming there will be one.
@BakaBreakdownАй бұрын
I can totally see your point in regards to something of a core sound having appeared, although I actually quite like the more sharp and precise sound, so I am not sure if I am really looking for "meatier" as that tends to be the sound where nuance falls by the way side, at least by certain examples. I guess, so long as there is always some variation I'm happy, as it's been a while since the last full length album, as you so rightly say!!!

@@RevStickleback They've finished recording the new album according to Kanami. I think those PRS has thin but clean kind of sound, it's more obvious when she plays quick scales. Sometimes it almost sounds like violin. I think that's maybe why she loves PRS so much. I don't think they are going backwards though. I'll already had the classic rock vibe, hate, too, to a point. So they probably use 'meaty' sound in parts of their songs rather than the entire song.
