Miku Kobato, rhythm/lyricist/vocals and Saiki Atsumi, main vocalist, sing together about 85% of the time. But their voices mesh and harmonize so well that a lot of times you think it’s one voice. Jerry Cantrell and Layne Staley of Alice In Chains also did this VERY well.💪🏻🤘🏻

Saiki is the main lead vocals, sometimes Miku (rythmn guitar and vocals) is the lead vocals and frequently Saiki and Miku double up. Kanami (lead guitarist) is the 3rd voice in this song. Kanami does not step up to the microphone here. The vocals are being augmented here with several layers either live (with recordings) or in post-production. Also listed to the lower register under Saiki's voice usually during the chorus in these songs from the Zepp show, that is neither Miku or Kanami.

@@VladimirChupin I also believe the "ne" in Akane is pronounced like the "ne" part of "next". It's a very unnatural way for a word to end in English, which is why English speakers tend to make it more like "ney". On the non-phonetic theme, I remember years ago stumbling across the blog of a Ukrainian guy giving advice on how to pronounce the names of footballers. Hi Brian and Stan! I love your reactions! I'm a great fan of BAND-MAID, thanks a lot for doing a shout-out for them. You have a veritable treasure of material from them to react to :-) BAND-MAID has some 80 songs by now, and all of them are perfect and nice. Not all of them have a video version, of course, but even those with video will be enough for a lifetime :-) You asked for some "underground" Japanese music to react to. There is a band, called "88 pilgrimages." Or, "88 places for pilgrimage," something like this. When I want to blow my head off late at night, after a long and tiring day, that's what I listen to. They are actually great live as well, but that's my favourite MV from them: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ep9gdLKZ1NCvY4E.html You know, some people go to a bar after work, some people smoke pot, and I listen to this song. It's no less effective than drugs in kicking your consciousness away from the mundane world... The song is called "Aggressive national music," by the way :-)

@kurt93955 жыл бұрын
Your ears are not fooling you, there is quite a bit of English thrown in. It's been quite common in Japanese music for a while now to have a smattering of English in song lyrics. Why? Because Japanese think English sounds cool. Band-Maid lyrics are typically about 20% English, although you might have to listen close to pick it up. Gentlemen! You wanted more from Japan, maybe with a bit of underground flavor? Try _Maximum the Hormone_ . The drummer of Band-Maid, Akane, was inspired to pursue it professionally by the example of the MtH drummer, but that's not why I'm recommending them. They are wild and memorable. BTW, not sure how good your speakers are, but I've listened to them over my stereo and then headphones and I can hear a real difference in the headphones. For the singers, they all can sing, but It depends on the song. Miku (rhythm guitar) and Saiki are the main singers, but the others chip in when needed. Heavier (more metal-like) try some of these: Maximum the Hormone: Alien - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/isqnh5h70a6cl4E.html - the "Stop Winnie Uploads" is a reference to a song sharing program in Japan - bands hated it Dir en Grey - Saku (Arche live) HQ - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ac-DnsuHq6yrlXk.html Crossfaith - The Perfect Nightmare [Official Live] - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/j8ClfpB6vtqqqHk.html Coldrain - Inside Of Me - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/m5plopuDv8esk5s.html Deathgaze Ring - Sorrow - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/gdinmZWVrrfFk6M.html Ningen Isu - Heartless Scat - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ech5apyWms--e6c.html Unlucky Morpheus - CADAVER REVADAC - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/nd5-Zq9jz9jWdX0.html - be sure to watch the whole 9 minutes - the first part is the main song, the second part is the first part played in reverse (scored note for note backwards)
