Kanami’s sense of musical timing is so spot on and it shows even in her backing vocals as she glides in and out like liquid gold perfectly complimenting and filling in with some contrasting highs or low tones accentuating Saiki’s soulful vocal delivery flawlessly. It is no wonder her songwriting is so consistent. One can acquire skills through learning and persistent practice, and even somewhat make up for a lot of other things with enough experience, but that level of musical sense is something you’re either born with or you just don’t have it. I would love to hear more of her vocals and see BM step up their vocal section further.

Kanami is very special. She can play Mozart on piano, Carlos Santana on guitar along with the most creative rock riffs on the planet, tap like Van Halen and shred with Angus Young. And she has a degree in economics and can sing like an angel. Can't think of anyone else in the business who even comes close. And she is ego free.

The depth of the Band-Maid waters run deep! Aside from the astounding vocal work by both Kanami and Saiki, Kanami doing what she does best, letting the song shine. Providing spaces, complimenting Saiki's vocals and bringing emotion through very considered, thought out playing. I am sure the main thing on Kanami's mind was lets show everyone what you really got Saiki and she delivered in spades.

This is Kanami living her best life duetting with her beloved Saiki! She was a singer/songwriter before Miku found her, but has said she’s grateful that Miku fills the role of second vocalist so she can enjoy just playing and jamming. Thanks 🙏🏻 for doing both of these together instead of separately, they’re such sweet, touching performances! Especially Anemone, which makes tears run down my face EVERY SINGLE TIME! This particular edit doesn’t include the Saiki and Kanami interaction in between the songs. Basically, they both give everyone a very heartfelt thank you and Kanami starts gushing over being able to sing and play with just Saiki because she loves her so much! Then Saiki is basically, “Enough of that, they’re gonna misunderstand, let’s just start the next song!” Watch this short clip of Saiki giving Kanami her Birthday present in Dallas and you’ll melt.💪🏻🤘🏻 kzfaq.info/get/bejne/r7t0dpN0ltaqfHU.html

Kanami's backing vocals are wonderful aren't they. I'd love to hear her sing more. btw the title 'anemone' is English-after the flower (for pronunciation think of its tentacled namesake, the sea anemone). Red anemones can signify being forsaken and that fits with the lyrics.

Interestingly, for once, adopting Greek words into English, the pronunciation is not completely butchered. The original Greek is pronounced Ah-Neh-MOH-Nee (roughly) - he said it almost correctly, if with an accent. It is a compound word, with the stem deriving from "anemos" (wind) and the matronymic suffix. The word literally translates as "daughter of the wind".

It is an electro acoustic guitar using a clean acoustic channel on the amp. A pedal will give her 'delay'. They are the combination of talent off the scale and a work ethic unknown in the west. The discipline of Japanese educational institutions including the music schools would leave western students destroyed. In the case of Band Maid you have the very rare occasion of 5 equally talented near genius level musicians coming together and in that I include MIku, the lyric writer and founder who has been taught to play guitar by Kanami since the band formed. Band Maid are unique on so many levels as witnessed by their ability to produce such a variety of songs each as good or better than the last. Full credit to Kanami who writes the music and is possibly a musical savant.

This band, as with other bands, has a rack full of gear and effects for the sound board, and the guitar is an acoustic but like most has electric components as well. For the normal stage, have a look at the floor in front of all the players including Misa. An absolute ton of effect footpedals to contour the sound and add depth and interest. It sure does make the sound great and would be pretty dry without it. (I've played multiple instruments in bands for a lot of years, just so you know I'm not just making this up lol). Most "Acoustic Guitars" these days are Electric / Acoustic. They have pickups built into them, either a mic or magnetic at the sound hole, a piezo electrics under the bridge or both, and usually plug in through the strap button. If you look closely you can see the cable plugged in there. This allows for any effect you want, i.e. Delay / Chorus / Flanging etc . . . You'll notice she has no mic on the guitar. But even if it was mic'ed you could have some processing on the mic itself.

Yes they're beautiful songs by a master composer in Kanami. Her spatial awareness in these songs is excellent. The resonance in particular as you mention is outstanding. Anemone sounds magnificent. Saiki's emotional vocal is just so good. Recording and production in these shows is top quality. The band has just released a new single called About Us. Very producer pop ballad that highlights Saiki's voice beautifully. Has Miku written all over it and shows in her backing vocals. Misa is creative as ever, all over the lower to mid frets virtually non stop. The song highlights why the band is so admired worldwide. The ability to write and importantly play so much different material encompassing virtually every genre. It's a rare quality and hopefully more in the music industry and followers will become fans. They deserve massive support/success as this shows the progression in female musicianship over the last decade in particular. Amazingly to many,Asia is producing some the best in the world. Kanami though is (or deserves to be) the superstar of this band. Composed some incredibly diverse material in the last 4 years. A prolific reader and apparently constant composer through the last year. Very creative and no doubt inspires the band with that aspect.

Love how emotional the performance is for both of these songs, very powerful. I want to bring up something interesting about Saiki that some fans might not know. Some of you might have noticed that Saiki has unique canine teeth. This is because of a Japanese fashion trend that started back around 2013, it is called "Yaeba". It's most commonly done through a dental procedure where the canine teeth are capped, but the goal is to have the canine teeth more pronounced/pointed outward. In japan it represents youth and natural beauty. (Edit: Apparently Saiki most likely has a natural Yaeba, she didn't undergo any procedure and was born this way. She's a "natural, natural, beauty").

@@Detrucci The 'defect' is not uncommon but so far cosmetic dental surgery to emulate it is pretty much confined to Japan. Personally I think her teeth are adorable.

@@MoonmanRedux If that's the case it could be said she has natural Yaeba, which makes her a "natural, natural, beauty". I've looked up pictures for reference and she definitely looks like she has Yaeba, but if it's really natural then I think she's even better.

If you get a good photo of Saiki smiling or laughing, you'll instantly see that this isn't the light capping that was trendy once upon a time. Please do Lovebites - [Epilogue] Daughters of the Dawn - Live in Tokyo - January 27, 2019 it's a bit of a break from their intense heavy metal stuff but totally awesome, and shows another side of their great musicianship! I guarantee the back to back guitar solo will blow you away! Did I say it's EPIC too?

I'm new to your channel & don't know your actual name. My advice would be to stay in the shallow end of the pool & not try to figure it out.
