All genres wrapped into one hellacious band. Best rabbit hole for a newcomer in the world

Dragon force - Herman Li of Dragon force had the 2 guitarists {Miku and Kanami) on his KZfaq page. Herman dressed as a maid and tried out for Band-Maid. There are 2 videos of them on the Dragon Force KZfaq channel. It's worth the watch. Kanami (lead guitarist and composer) has the most Kawaii voice and personality I've ever seen. They are adorable bad asses.

This song, is actually written for them, even though it has the strong Band-Maid sound. I'm sure the members were actively involved in the arrangement of this song. Because, they are having a blast performing this song, meaning they also love the song!, they must be. This song, actually this live video introduced me to Band-Maid in July 2020. I got bored with J-rock by the mid 90s, even though many of those visual kei bands are technically amazing, they sounded samey, using same chord progression and there was nothing fresh to me anymore until Band-Maid came along. What I love about this band is that even my least favourite song has something somewhere that intrigues me, just enough for the song to grow on me. And when I go through phases of checking out other bands and come back, I fall back in love with them because they sound so different. BTW their new song "Protect You" is up if you want to react to. I personally love it, which is actually understatement 😂 But many fans seem to think it sounds samey to their other anime songs... And, if you think they are technically amazing, check out Lovebites. Or you might already have...🤔 I'm not a Lovebites fan but their technicality is insane and if you love metal you'll definitely love them.

Someone is enjoying this. And that is not only the maids firing their music at us but also You and me watching. Amazing stuff, and there is sooo much more to discover !

There are many unique aspects to Real Existence that sets it apart from many rock songs: the starts and stops, Miku's little breakout vocal line, Akane's double tempo gallop, and Kamani's solo. I mean, who would ever put that kind of solo in a rock song? But it works... just like all of the plot-twists, complex density, and genre-merging they employ on most of their material. Every section offers something different than the previous one. That's one reason many people -- unless you're a musician - may find it difficult to get into their music at first listen. As tightly integrated as it is, there's so much going on. And then you add the Japanese language and maid outfits...
