These five talented ladies inspire a lot of musicians and singers, young and old alike. I don't know how many comments I've read where people say that the maids inspired them to learn an instrument later in life or inspired them to get back practicing on an instrument they had given up on years ago. They just have that effect on people. Look up all the BAND-MAID song covers out there on KZfaq. There must be hundreds of them. Thrill, Freezer, Dice, Influencer, Onset, Carry On Living, Anemone, No God, Manners, From Now On, and Choose Me have all been covered by fans (I'm sure there are many more). You've covered a few of Miku's parts yourself. They are special, plain and simple.

I think Kanami is a true Composer. By that I mean she’s up there with some of the best musical composers of all time! She, with the help of the others, knows where to put the right notes at the right time, to create musical emotions. She can do any genre I think. She knows how to also compose to bring out each of the members. She knows exactly when Misa should be featured, or Saiki’s voice, or Akane’s drumming. When to speed up and slow down.

I think their music educaation brings so much to the table. I have the feeling that there is a lot of theory put in play in their music.

The word "Genius" is tossed around so casually these days. This has painfully diluted the BEST word to describe Kanami . I've sang solos and choral parts from Beethoven, Mozart, and many other genius composers. I'm not mentioning her in the same breath as these luminaries. She is in a modern composing class by herself. She is incredibly tuned into every note she writes. Everything has its correct place. It is truly a wonder to witness ! 🤯♥️

One of my favourites. The drums tend to be the third people notice as it's a Saiki showcase and Miku's vocals are also impressive, but I think it's the song I'd pick to exemplify great artistic drumming. Akane also particularly likes this song.

Wonderland is one of those songs that just seems timeless and always fresh. Saiki and Miku certainly stands out vocally, but what happens behind her is no less brilliant in my view. How each of the ladies basically do their own thing with their instruments and yet it still fits together as a whole is always fascinating to my ears. ✨ I also really like their current songs, but if I could wish for one thing for their next album, it would be for the ladies to return to this creative direction for at least one or two songs. They are so good at making slower songs incredibly interesting. 😎🤘🏻 _____________________ 「 _"Our rock never dies ever. Forever!"_ 」 - from *BAND-MAID* - 'Manners' ♬🕊

I have had the pleasure of watching rock grow in real time, from the Beatles to now, upon discovering Band Maid 8 years ago by chance, I can say that even though they opened the door to the whole Japanese women's rock/metal experience to me, they remain my all time favorite band ever, so much so that I went to see them last summer, and no one else can motivate me to endure the physical pain that is involved for me to go see a live show, that's how much I love Band Maid.

Band Maid don't make music they make pieces of art. What happens in most of their songs is like watching a master painter or sculptor create a piece of work that will stay with me forever. It really is remarkable how no one musician overpowers or over does their part. But together it gels perfectly.

Let's not kid ourselves. You smacked the nail on the freaking head. They write epic music. Then they learn it and rehearse it. Then they execute that shit flawlessly. I believe not only are they my favorite band easy but if being the best band is elegantly creating what they want to hear while making it memorable then they are the BEST BAND TODAY. It is horribly difficult to not wallow in hyperbole but I'm 66 and don't have time to fuck around. BandMaid is the greatest proper rock band touring today.😢

I recently rewatched their 2019 European tour and thought they played really well despite the new songs. Take the concert in Bochum for example, where you have a good view and a good sound. You can find it on Vladimir Chupin's channel. I'm 67, have seen B-M five times full of enthusiasm and travelled to Japan , but avoid exaggerations, just feel a constant, deep joy.

I heard this song, just like Endless Story, for the first time when they played it on their European tour in the summer of 2019. Both sounded different and unusual and the response from the audience was not as euphoric as with the bangers that everyone knew. I have to admit that it took me a while to get used to the new sounds. The whole Conquerer album sounds very versatile and has a quality that I can only really appreciate now that I've heard the acoustic versions or really understood the background and structure of the songs.

I've heard "side stick" before. More often "cross stick." Doesn't really matter. What she's playing in this whole song is beautiful, with so much feel and a bunch of different techniques. Glad you perked up for that fill during the bridge. Most people seem to overlook that but the whole band is so precise there it immediately got my attention. That and that tasty Misa/Akane excursion in the second chorus you noted. When I first heard that, I thought, Jesus, they really know what they're doing. This whole song is just so beautifully composed and performed. Everything about it. The main guitar theme is gorgeous. The bass line is stunning and dynamic. The guitar chords are beautiful. Kanami's short solo is quite beautiful, too, when you pay attention (somehow it often gets overlooked). The vocals and harmonies are insanely good. And that dissonant guitar lead that Miku plays in the second verse is very cool. Funny thing, I overlooked this song for a while. I heard it on a fan cam video and the audio wasn't great but I thought, oh, sounds like a nice song. I was really digging into their nuttier rock stuff initially. When I finally got around to really listening to this song, I was stunned.

Every once in a while, the universe brings a group of humans together that collectively are so in tune with one another that they perform musical alchemy. Band Maid is among that elite group. Kanami is a magnificent composer of music, Miku is a poetic lyricist, Saiki commands the stage with her passionate vocal deluvery and Misa/Akane arre simply the best rhythm section in Rock. Thanks for the video. This is a song that KANAMI says "I was able to write a masterpiece". Click here for the lyrics. It matches the song perfectly. --------------------------------------------- I want you to prove that it is not an accidental word I don't like short-sightedness, touch me and fascinate me Let me believe you believe you believe you It's always the most important things, worn out, choked, and I can't cry Will the voice that has been hoarsely grasped in this way disappear into a dream? I know, I don't know, I know, I don't know, I pass each other repeatedly and return to zero again Still, I wanted to do something about it, and we followed the trajectory of our journey I want you to prove that it is not an accidental word I don't like short circuits, touch them and charm them Let me believe you believe you believe you Smoldering thoughts are not bad either These blinking moments pile up and fade, but you will never forget that day It's not, it's not, it's not true, even if you wish for it, it won't come true Emotions that grow in color and become stronger I loved him, I loved him, and I couldn't think of what to do Even if it's not an inevitable encounter I can't be shaken by anything else. I don't want to hear sad songs, I want you to laugh. You just trust me trust me trust me. This way, this way, until the sky falls. (I can't go back to the past Nobody knows the future but I only know this You are my world) There is only one place I want to be because I am who I am An irreplaceable landscape becomes a shining world Taste both sour and sweet ,ah, without waking up Even if it's not an inevitable encounter I can't be shaken by anything else I don't want to hear sad songs, I want you to laugh You just trust me trust me trust me To the wonderland Forever God, I want you to listen to me Because I don't want much else I want to be by your side all the time, I want to be with you for many years, many years, many years

I still think Misa is the lynchpin of this band - she works so hard and never lets up, even when she's constantly octave-sliding she never leaves even a fraction of a beat of silence (unless it's intended), and it's crucial to the sense of flow in their performances. ETA >> but then, I'm a lifelong bass-head so I would say that.
