That's it!. This is Akane song, it belongs to her, she doesn't give herself a moment of respite. Incredible. Ladies and gentelman... This is how a bonus track is composed by this BAND (caps size required), with the same overwhelming quality as the rest of their compositions in 2021, an insane year. Youth is indefinable, it's as if Miku and Saiki had decided to sing a nice and pretty R&B song from the 50's and the rest of the band went doing their own thing with the hard rock... and everything worked punctually like pieces in a Swiss watch. Let's see how to explain that...

I listened this song for the first time on the day of the maid live stream, at the very intro of the song i was thinking it was a intro for another song, but no! i was wrong, damn i loved it, i remember Kanami just smiling playing the whole song. Listening to this song makes me so happy xD.

Very nice, as always. Kanami has said that "Youth" is meant to be a summer festival song that captures the essence of their early songs, especially with the twin vocals. Let's hope they get to do it for an audience this summer!

Ahhhh ...Band Maid insanely great and never boring . Musically and personality Ty you Ryan for always pointing the small details often overlooked .

I always marvel at Miku's timing as a back-up vocalist. Not only does she right those counter lyrics to Saiki's primary lyrics, but she fits her lyrics in between the beats so that it makes perfect sense within the song. It's insane talent. The concentration it must take as well as playing rhythm guitar at the same time during such an incredibly complex song is remarkable! What can you say about Akane. Definitely not your typical drummer! But then again, we already know this. Misa, Misa, Misa! And what the hell Kanami! What goes through your head when you're writing?! lol.

I do love this band. I've been listening and loving music for over sixty years and I've never heard anything like BAND MAID. They are a force of nature and a beautiful one at that. Their creativity is second to none, and the joy they exude while performing makes one hurt from smiling. Just babbling about BAND MAID.

Whereas most bands use fills to get from point A to point B, Band-Maid uses fills to create entire new musical phrases and themes. Dare I say this that Kanami is a fucking genius. I wish the world would get to listen to her.

I always forget about this song because I don't usually pop in my CDs to listen to music and that is about the only way to listen to this song. In some ways I miss the days when my music collection was ripped from my CDs. Also, I got my Kanami is speaking shirt a few days ago and beyond enjoying the design, I was very happy with the quality of the material as well. It feels as good as it looks.

Epic and beautiful at the same time. I also love Miku's counterpoint vocals. Why this wasn't put on the regular edition is a mystery to me, everyone needs to hear this.

Funny thing, youth didn't get on the normal record and it's an amazing song. This get to show how great they are when they do not put this on the record, which is already filled to the rim with awesomeness LOL Damn Band-Maid are good.

The fact that this song is not on any of the streaming platforms makes it a pain in the ass to listen to. Which is unfortunate because it's a BAND-MAID song(i.e it's really good).

Worth seeing after this is the blu-ray video of Youth as played during their recent online concert.

Main reason for buying the super-duper-deluxe-first class-über edition of "Sense" was, that this song (+ 5 more) from their May okyu-ji is included on a blue ray 🙂

I really think the best compliment this band gets is that a large portion of their fan base are fellow musicians. That says everything. Cant wait for DC in October.

There is a live version of this song on the bonus disc with Sense, and it is Great! I hope they release it on KZfaq! GFS, but we only expect them from Band-Maid!

It's like, these bridges and outros should NOT work, but somehow, they absolutely do. It's a strange but tasty brew that you can't find anywhere else.

That drum stall (?) Akane does entering the 2nd pre-chorus. So choice. I just love MISA's tone on this song. So chunky and thiccc. So much color to her sound on this song. The ability of this band to have such solid hard rock verses and pre-choruses and then go into a super catchy and hooky pop-punk chorus and make it work is never fails to amaze. Keep up the good work Ryan!

Love this song. It almost sounds like hardcore punk to start with and bandmaid thingie kicks in. Yet it has one of the most J-poppy chorus. Crazy in the best way. Are there any bandmaid fans hasn't subscrived to your channel yet Ryan? Seriously?

I can still remember paforming happily on the live online OKYU-JI. In a Japanese way,"AGARUZE".⤴️⤴️⤴️ Mincho said she made it in the image of BAND-MAID performance at a Fes. I hope I can listen to this song live myself.

Their compositions remind me of the first album by Captain Beyond, which came out over 40 years ago, so it's unlikely Kanami would know of it. The songs were made up of independent segments that didn't seem like they should be part of the same song. Somehow through playing talent and sheer willpower they could force all the parts to reside together to become something both catchy and complex. I must have listened to that album 100 times. But the Maids are better.

I’ve heard the band refer to Kanami as somewhat of an airhead because she doesn’t pay attention to what is happening around her. If she has all these different songs to occupy her thoughts is there room for anything else?

Ryan! Starting to be a bit chilly again here in Shizuoka! This particular song certainly needs much listening to be fully appreciated! It feels like the avant-garde jazz of the 70~80's at times. But this is no wonder when you consider Akane's and Misa' musical education. Band Maid has been experimenting for a while almost slyly with one or two songs here and there for a while, giving a hint of what could well be in store in the future with three parallel orientations: their usual hard rock, a few heavy metal and something else totally different, more jazzy and hard at the same time. They certainly are not averse at showing some bravery! The end result is that they will shape different groups of fans with different tastes. Talking of harmonies, there are at least two more voices being heard, and I am pretty sure they are not Saiki's or Miku's. They do not sound like layered tapes but they could very well be Kanami's and who else? Talking of popularity, Japan is a bit of a puzzle, dependingon where you live. I finally found one big shop selling their CD's and DVD's and that in a fairly big city, even for Japan as Shizuoka City has a population over 750,000! The very few CD's were tucked away among garbage and although I fluently read Japanese I had to ask a shop employee to find them! Japan has still lot to do to recognize their own talent!
