@@ilyasglobal yeah definitely well its my second year. I'm a sophomore now but last year we didn't get a band camp because of COVID, and we only had in person school 2 days a week during that term. We gotta to do like 2 games but it wasn't the same. This past week I had pre band camp and so tomorrow we start full on band camp. 8 hours a day for 5 days.

@@ilyasglobal that's exciting! I'm sad that I didn't get to wear my old schools marching uniforms or do actual marching band that I waited 6 years of my dream of being in band. I always wanted to do it since 4th and started in 5th grade like I think when most people start, but from the past few weeks I've gone to practice here I like this and better then my old one. I feel more welcomed and I feel like I can be my chaotic self and matching my new bands energy. I hope you have a great year in band!

Question for guard kids, do yalls instructors just make up your choreography on the spot or is it just my instructor? Cause she straight up asked me what out choreography was cause she forgot it

we have a designer come in to do it and then our instructor comes in and cleans it up

Ours makes it up on the spot and then teaches us doesn’t touch it for a week writes more choreo and thens like ok so you remember what we did a couple weeks ago right? 💀

Okay not sure if this is only my band but... Whenever someone hears your show music, do you not feel like doing your drill wherever you are? Also, have you ever had your band leader rewrite your whole drill after preview?

As a percussionist I am very happy to see someone actually talking about drumline and we are the glue to the band if there was no drumline one there will not be cadence’s two during band camp who will come up with all of the games and three who will make everyone laugh when your dehydrated during band camp because you get one second breaks and are expected to dring one gallon of water
