Banda Singh Bahadur began his journey as a disciple of the tenth Sikh Guru, Guru Gobind Singh. However, his rule faced fierce opposition from the Mughal Empire. Banda Singh Bahadur and his forces were eventually captured in 1716 after a prolonged siege. He endured brutal torture and was executed in Delhi.
