The unit crest decal in this kit is of the First Tactical Fighter Wing. Which by the way is still active even though they dropped Tactical from their name back in 1991.

There’s supposed to be a seam on the lower cannon section the ships are built in parts if you think of it as a real ship, in the movie that housing is not one solid piece , I have the same model you must have not done something right or maybe you got a bad version but mine fits perfectly I didn’t need to use glue on any of my parts and my ship looks perfect. And another benefit by not gluing your band I models together is if you ever want to do any modifications or repaint later on the ship can be dismantled Bandai star war model kits are built so perfectly I have never needed to glue any of my star war Bandai kits

I must have misaligned something, I really enjoy the Bandai SW kits and was thinking of doing a TIE fighter to add an Imperial ship to the channel, Cheers

Do you seal the pain in with a varnish afterwards? Such as testors dullcotte? Also can the Gunze paints be used in an airbrush right out of the bottle or do you thin it with something?

I've been using the new Tamiya lacquer for clear gloss and flat, they seem to work quite well, I used a final coat of clear flat but it might have needed a second coat. I always thin Gunze, in fact I thin every paint that goes thru the airbrush no matter the brand, at least 60/40 thinner to paint ratio if not more in some cases.

Hey Vinny, I prime depending on the model, and what kind of undercoat that will influence the base and highlight colours. Generally I use NATO black as a kind of primer and deep base. Mr Surfacer 1500 Grey and Black are staples also.
