Your work will definitely be a reference for my “Falcon” when I finish my 1/144 & dig the 1/72 out of the stash. I see your so detailed you even lit the CD player insignia & cigarette lighter port (after all long long ago, vehicles still had those). Great work - you’re talented, gifted but i think your huge fingers make the photo-etch look tiny.

Hey, you applied cockpit details without filing the surface down! I’m not expert on water slide decals, but as long as you have decal solution, then apply larger decals in smaller sections of about 1/3 at a time, I don’t get how many builders thought this was impossible to do without obliterating those surface textures.😊

Yea, you can do it. Just takes a bit of work with the solution, but it eventually stretches and falls into place. I applied solution several times, and just kind of gently work it into crevasses with a cotton swab when it's softened. That way you still get a nice little bit of texture.

This is outstanding! Do you advise using the Archive X paint set or the Tamiya paints you're using? If you can comment your paint selection that would be very helpful, chief.

I've never used archive X. Honestly, just because of price. I feel like I get a decent match with using the Tamiya paints and my own mixing when necessary.

Hi.. great work!...I'm also working on this model.. did you leave the clear plastic pieces out of the cockpit and gun ports?

Yes. I always do. I don't like the reflections interfering with seeing the interior. And ILM did not use glass either, for that exact same reason. So stage lighting wouldn't reflect. The only exception is my A-wing I'm currently doing. Kinda have to, being a dome canopy.

how did you power the bread boards. I Have this very kit and trying to do the same thing

at 11:45 I show how I attached a female 9v connector so you just plug in a standard 9v power supply to it. Ultimately, my client placed the Falcon on a board and ran that female lead though the board out the bottom to plug in. The RF receiver was plugged into that female lead and the other end to the board for power.

@modelsbychris I am sorry my wording was off. I see you use bread boards. I assume u just bridged the leads on the board with solder and ran a power to the bridged wires?

@modelsbychris cool. I have this same kit and have the PE for it. I like what you have done and copy it for my own.
