Bandai's Y-Wing Starfighter in 1/72 scale is another excellent kit from the Star Wars universe. The fit is great and I had no issues as expected from this brand.
Two different pilot figures and droids come with the kit. The plastic parts are pre-colored and both decals and stickers are included if you don't want to paint the model.
I put my focus on a worn look and created a custom paint scheme. Color modulation and weathering allow an individual model to be created. Enjoy the build, paint and weathering process and feel free to comment.

What an EXCELLENT Build!!! 👍👍👍👍 If AnyThing..... I wish you explained what paints you used like the entire cockpit 'pod' (the Front end of the Y-wing), the color of the seat?? I see that you used "filters", thanks for showing that and its usage/how it looks....very subtle. The Detail on the ' Y ' is Extraordinary, I love the amount of detail, the kit Alone shows......was there any Other details that you Scratch-built onto the ' Y '??🤔 Your Choice of the red was a ~little worrisome😕, but It Came out WELL Done!!😮 I Truly enjoyed the metallic, worn finish around the nose and radar/engine "nacelles"

Thank you very much for the nice and detailed comment, I really appreciate it. In future videos I will definitely show more details and work with voice over. I built the model out of the box without any scratch build. It wasn't supposed to be a movie version, I wanted to try out my own color scheme and have fun building it. The main color is Off White (AK Real Colors), the gray tones are various USN/USAF grays. Next time I would make the chipping a little finer and not use a matt clear coat for the metal parts. All in all, I can only recommend grabbing a Bandai kit, deviating from the template and trying a lot of new things (B-wing is waiting!). Regards ScalerDan

Can you tell me what paint you used to paint the cockpit hatch and the part around the engine, it's like a light blue shade colour. I've been trying to work out what colour to buy

Hello. I mainly used AK Real Colors. For the cockpit hatch I sprayed RAF Dark Sea Gray (RC296) as an undercoat, masked some parts with chipping fluid and then sprayed RAF Medium Sea Gray (RC289) as a top coat. Off White (RC013) was used for fuselage and engines. Some panels got Vallejo Acrylics gray tones to have more variation. Regards ScalerDan
