My opinion on the battle is it's a tie but I give hats off to New Orleans by having 80% high school students in the band Memphis did a good job both bands had their ups and downs I agree the trumpets need to stop hanging over but I am proud of the trumpet section 98% of the trumpet players from New Orleans or high school students

I believe it’s just a different style but Deonte is a trumpet player himself right. But I think what you’re hearing is how he is writing the arranged part for the trumpets. It seems like trumpets go in and out from supporting other parts to shining then going back to supporting. The chord structure seems like it’s set up for the trumpets to pick their spots unless they carrying the melody. We both know summer band bro them trumpets gon act stupid.

Everybody be getting on bands and call them whole and half note bands and the minute a band give yall what yall want and play some music that showcase their musicality, now they boring, and its mid.
