Kate was the fox. It was hinted she'd enter Amanda's virtual world and Amanda makes the comment "Never saw it coming."(paraphrased.) Kate was out of her depth; probably went in expecting to change things or investigate only for Amanda to be one step ahead of her.

Back in the demo, Wolly was an obvious victim, but here he seems a bit more suspicious. He seems secondary in power to Amanda, being able to impose his will whenever she's severely weakened by her returning memories, but he also seems to seek to keep her stable and "happy". I cannot help but wonder whether that is because he's scared of what she does to him when she's angry or because he genuinely wants to help us. The fact there's a tape of him just sitting at a table for 10 minutes straight with a blank, near-soulless expression doesn't realy help either.

Amanda actually uses the kitten as a cry for help in the "WON'T YOU HELP THE LONELY KITTEN?" ending and when it's trapped it's a metaphor for how someone is trapped in the program (Most likely Aunt Kate)

I think that that's the final sliver of Rebecca knowing she'll die or "rot" and that she'll have no control over it anymore (if that expands your explanation a bit)

Sending the cookies part at 4:41 really intrigued me and caused some questions/theories. Why was Amanda so desperate to send her friend some cookies? But also, why was wooly so desperate to stop her? He tried twice to stop her, when he pointed out the stores were closed and it was getting late, and after she admitted she forgot her friends name. Was the package really cookies? Does sending cookies signify something else? Why stop an innocent gesture like sending cookies? And why does he look so bummed out after she sends it off. The friends name is Kate, of all names, the same name as the players aunt they inherited the tapes from. Kate is dead. Children were disappearing after watching this show. So Amanda/the demon in Amanda sent something to Kate. That’s probably why if you answer incorrectly and make her mad too much, that demon comes exactly to where you are and kills you. And then if you saw the secret tape of her in the recording studio, she was reciting demon names repeatedly in the mic. So a demon ritual? This game is really good, I hope they update it soon.

Perfect! My theory abt wooly that he kidnapped amanda because Amanda once told her big secret which was “I’m out there.. somewhere..” and Wooly wasn’t there, and plus whenever Amanda is sad, Wooly is just tryna act normal and once said “Amanda is just confused” in a suspicious way. And I also think Wooly sometimes have to listen to Amanda because of her demon, so I think Wooly is mad at Amanda when she broke his leg, so probably if the tape isn’t on, Wooly would yell at Amanda. And yes Wooly kidnapped Amanda in real life. I also think that they never mentioned Wooly’s actor name because if Amanda real body is actually kidnapped, then I think some ppl would know the kidnappers name. That’s all I could think of!

WRONG, I'll give you three quotes from wooly, in the old game he said "we don't have much time, whatever you do, DO-", "OH, it's you, whatever you do, DON'T-" then had his leg broken by SOMEONE not just that he said "I DIDN'T TRI-" and amanda tried killing him in the old and new game, so, there's your proof on why you're wrong, no offense.

My theory was that Kate and Amanda/or Rebecca knew each other. My reasoning for this was because when Sam Colton was in the interview he mentioned Kate being a “team player” at every reading time they had and suggesting parents to watch the show so I thought that maybe since she was doing that her and Amanda/or Rebecca must’ve like cross paths at one point during those times. They could’ve been close during those times. That could also be the reasons why Amanda mentioned Kate was her friend and why Kate had been investigating Amanda the Adventure after Sam’s disappearance

There is so much that can be theorized in this whole gameplay but there is one that still sort of bothers me. When they’re at the farm and Woolie tries to speak but he his is then interrupted by his own “baa”-ing and then looks defeated afterwards. It’s so sort of weird how he wasn’t really allowed to speak in that episode. When he tried to point out that he was an animal who could talk, Amanda just gave him the hand (which was sort of funny 😂) and when she goes to see the sheep we can see Woolie in the back eating grass like any other normal sheep yet he still stands out. Idk I just really want to know what happened in this episode, maybe it was really important to Rebecca/Amanda and she didn’t want Wooly to interrupt because of the kitten, then again if the producers are in charge how could she? Can’t wait for another chapter, I have so many questions!

Seeing the comments, I think I see the lore behind this. Kate is the fox. Perhaps the mail was a bear trap instead of cookies. Amanda was desperate to do it, and wooly tried to stop her twice.

I think he's sad through most of the Kate branch of this tape because it's actually his birthday, and Amanda was supposed to send that package to him according to the script. but since you (as the player) mess with her and put in a name that she knows, it screws up the story and he's left without a present. Further proof is him looking dejected when she sends the package off to "Kate" instead of giving it to him

1. I think Kate was the fox (idea from @Brian Eighties) 2. Sam was the farm 3. Amanda is Rebecca’s spirit 4. The producers of the show (the ones making her say words) could be the meat in the butcher shop 5. The words could be a ritual to let the “demon” or rat thing in. 6. Amanda isn’t evil, she’s just being controlled. 7. When Amanda says “sometimes i can feel myself rotting, but it’s far away” she’s talking about Rebecca’s corpse (these are all my theories, feel free to put yours in replies)

My theory is the initial tape was supposed to be a joke type of ending where she spaces and forgets that she was getting a present for Wooly's birthday. Notice how the tape doesn't screw up until you enter the code on the robot, when you go back to the TV she says, "I don't want to play anymore" and the tape gets spit out. Then when you go in again you can do the Kate route, but there is another route where Wooly hints at you that it's his birthday and then goads the story in the direction of getting him a card and a gift. Basically I think that's the reason why he seems so sad/lost in this one particularly

Ok so this is the story of Amanda: her real name is Rebecca, Rebecca Colton she was adopted by the founder of Amanda the adventurer, Sam Colton she is her father that’s why she said “wait what did you say, how do you-“ that’s because she still remembers her father. Normally Amanda the adventurer was a real life series but “Hamelin” wanted to turn it to a cartoon Sam agreed and they used her voice for something ( I don’t remember what exactly) but the father, Sam didn’t like that he was in the way of Hamelin so they killed him. After they killed the father Amanda/Rebecca (her real name) had to sign a contract that said that “her soul” would be used for the show. So she got killed too. WOOLY was there to hide Rebecca from amanda. That’s why she said “I feel myself rotting out there, somewhere far away.” She’s talking about Rebecca (she’s rotting bcz she’s dead like no shit) ANYWAYS, wooly then tried to remind her that that’s not true, because he’s there to hide Rebecca from Amanda and the other kids. But Amanda somehow remembers some things and that’s why she’s against wooly. Ok so that’s the story of Rebecca/Amanda now Kate So Kate is a librarian who was good friends with Sam (father of Rebecca) she knew that something was wrong with the show after it turned into a cartoon (or other words Amanda was in Hamelins control) so she went to investigate I don’t know what happened, maybe she died or maybe she got hurt etc. But something happened and that’s why she wants you to investigate in her attic where all the tapes and other shit are

Possible (with some definite) spoilers: Unlike the first game, I don’t think Wooly is as innocent as he’s made out to be. With Wooly acting the way he is when certain… “memories” or lack there of getting pointed out, it seems that he was specifically put in place and programmed to make sure that Amanda remains on track without what may have happened to her (or rather, her voice actor and original inspiration, Rebecca) and her father not be brought to the light and make sure it’s kept under wraps. This is apparent several times throughout the gameplay, especially at the picnic but imo the most poignant examples are the birthday segments where he tries to dissuade you from going to the post office and when you mention Sam at the barn house, where he’s shocked and frightened by the mention of the name.

So guys I just wanted to clarify that all this time Amanda hated Wooly and the "Oh no accident tape" just gives you all the evidence you need and at the starting of "oh no accident" Amanda was giving wooly a mean look and in the petting zoo tape Amanda says, "look at the sheep they are all in their rightful place" and then the tape shows a clip of Wooly "braying" which was just kinda cute and funny i'm talking about the braying part also it was kinda funny seeing wooly as an actual sheep lol.

This is just a theory but maybe in the tape 3:00 when Amanda said that friends do special things or helped her when she was sad (probably meaning Kate) is hinting that maybe Rebecca had some sort of bond with Kate and kate said something to her which made amanda act weird the whole tape and distressed when she forgot her name, And in the second ending when Amanda suddenly said “something bad happened” maybe she understands something bad happened to Kate

Here’s a theory I have When all of the stores become a butcher store and Amanda screams “why can’t I stop it??” I think it’s reminding her of the past. Specifically, the demo when she kills Wooly at the butcher store. She probably found a way to revive Wooly from that, and felt a lot of guilt. Hence, when all that appears is the store, it reminds her of what she did.
