The battle of the ASUs was the best one yet so far. Tbh I gave a bunch of ties since they got different song selections, but I gotta give it to Alcorn, they made an amazing and I do mean an AMAZING comeback from last year and they def gonna give SU and JSU a good fight. Good luck Alcorn, you gonna need it cuz the two titans of the SWAC bands ain’t taking it easy 🤭

I must respectfully disagree with you. Alabama State killed those last three rounds. End of story Alcorn brought it the first two. Then they fell off with song selection

Alcorn Rd 1 Stylin Profilin was sensational. Round 2 decided the battle. Simply marvelous rendition of Love Faces by Alcorn. Sounds FTW!!!

Absolutely great battle, the only thing that SOD is missing is more students to bring the power. Alabama State over power them. ASU is louder because they have more instrument players.

The consistency from Alabama state was insane. As well as the clean sound, playing ballads clean and in the pocket without power isn’t alcorn strong suite. They played the trap and got caught! Jesus Alcorn though that second song was hard to listen to, but that lil baby oh my goodness. To allow students to even write the arrangements man is insane with limited numbers. I got Alabama though for this one
