The Bangalore Palace was the private residence of the royal Wodeyar family. The palace is now owned by the Mysore royal family. Tudor-style palace with galleries featuring hunting trophies, family photos and paintings. The guards are very strict about camera usage and you will need to show your camera ticket before being allowed to take photos around the grounds.
The palace grounds are now Bangalore’s hottest concert arena, having hosted rock ‘n’ roll biggies such as Iron Maiden, the Rolling Stones, Aerosmith and Deep Purple.
It is one of the top tourist places to visit in Bangalore. Good for photography. Weekdays are the best.

I am a native of Mysore state now known as Karnataka.The wodeyars were known for their excellent statesmanship and governance . It was one of the best governed states of pre independent India.There was prosperity, development , education in tune with the times . This palace though small is excellent though not as opulent as Mysore palace. It is worth a visit .Your camera work is excellent .

Bangalore palace is nice but there is maintenance inside and also the ticket cost too much. Still audio player inside is waste which repeats the same thing again and again though we change audio number . Even many of the paintings and designs are missing there. I thinnk mysore palace is very nice.

HYMA DEVAYAJANAM HYMA DEVAYAJANAM ya off course Mysore palace is much grandeur then Bangalore palace. Both palaces are different and carry their own charm ... !! I do agree with the price tag is bit expensive with the camera or camcorder for the palace.. I love history and loved visiting the palace very much !!

I went Mysore palace few years before which is on road from Bangaluru to Mysore Brindabon garden. I have not remember adjectly as our tourist guide give us only 30 minutes time. My question is Bangaluru palace and Mysore palace is same or different. On that time our tourist guide inform the name Mysore palace. In Mysore palace campus dosehara festival is celebrating very gorgeously. Anybody clear my hesitation.

Basanta Kumar Saikia hi .. both Mysore palace and Bangalore palace are quite different. Mysore palace is much more grandeur and famous than Bangalore palace, it’s also known for huge Dusheera celebrations! Hope this is helpful!
