Really liked the running commentary in this video because there was barely a pause and packed full of useful information for potential buyers. As you know I'm not a big fan of riding bikes in Bangkok and find few things more terrifying then being on the back of a motorcycle taxi and it would be my last option if fleeing a riot or the scene of a crime, but I still found it all very interesting and compelling to watch. With that said, I am keenly aware of your riding skill and in the past twenty years I've seen you ride at much faster speeds on bigger bikes and know how hyper vigilant you can be, and there is nobody I would want at the controls over you if the cops were chasing us. And btw, I don't remember signing a waiver to be in your video, and you could have prepared me to put on a toupee and suck in my gut. Tips fedora #; {>

Well still in modification mode.. My hands seem to be too small for the stock levers, so I have ordered smaller one... the suggestion for the slip on exhaust was spot on.. I like the growl...however, sadly, I do not have time to ride as much..

Nice video! I had a Kawasaki 150RRR when I lived in BKK. I'm normally not too impressed with two strokers, but this one was great. Power enough to get it on the back wheel and past 200km/h :-O

Don't Sub Thanks! If I came to BKK earlier I would love to have bought the NSR150R. Still see them around and they still look great.

Thank you for your very useful review but I have something to tell you! , In Thailand some bridges is not allowed motorcycle to pass such as Ramkhamheang Bridge (at 4.33 Minute) and not allowed to ride on the sidewalk. It is illegal. I hope a good warning.

I do a lot of city riding I used to ride a 2006cbr600rr which was too powerfull I confess I speed a lot, is this a good bike for me im 178cm tall 80kg
@JaroslawPajewski9 жыл бұрын
jimsmowing223 I'm 182 and about 75 kg and have no problems with the bike. It's quite large for a 300cc bike. Basically it almost looks like a 600. So you should have no problems with comfort and speeding :)

Thanks, this is what I was looking for as a review on the CBR 300.. Still have to wait another 2 more weeks before I have it. I do agree with additional mirror function convex mirrors, increase vision. The seat, not sure, would it create aesthetic imbalance? YES comfort vs lines. Tires.. now that is a good point you make, on the wet road an issue. I don't ride too much during the rain. There was a log on purchasing Pirelli tires, but in my part of Thailand (south) everything will have to come from BKK. Helmet.. another question.. your personal choice based on what you can find in Thailand.. and price range. I just found specific cycle shops.. such as Pandarider.. by the K University area.. Oh.. sorry forgot to include on the old post, I'm riding the CBR 150.. Just want a little more power.. Lastly, ' exhaust..pipe" how would modify it? All custom of course, or can you just tell the guys at the shop, I want to make more noise.. Do agree out here.. many times, cut off on the CBR 150..if it sounds loud maybe a little more caution.. NOT sure, as you know Some Thai drivers, it does not matter, only get out of my way. Thanks again for the review.. cheers safe driving in BKK.. I have yet to do that.. I ride in the provinces... Glad you liked it. :) Seat I had made looks better than original. It has nicer fabric and cool red stitching. Helmets in Thailand are not a problem you can find them from 600 for basic to about 2000 for a very fancy ones. I had a CBR150 as well before this and liked it but of course 250 is in another class. More solid, fatter tires, more power. Exhaust pipe I installed was from a guy on Facebook "praram2bikes" inexpensive and easy to install. Cheers,

@JaroslawPajewski9 жыл бұрын
Dhalps dadocta Thanks :) As far as tires I'm still on the stock but from what I read the best you can get are Pirelli Diablo Rosso II Here is the link: pirelli.in.th/diablo-rosso-2/ I think they cost around 9K. Let me know if you find out Cheers, hope you like the bike!

I have to wait until after Son Kran as they didn't have the black one I wanted in stock...however I just checked out the yamaha R3 today and now am really confused on what to buy..The R3 has a lot more power it seems, but maybe it kicks in at higher speeds? The honda good torque off the line but overall weak...I am using this bike for communting in BKK primerily, what do you think is a better choice?

Jaroslaw Pajewski Hey buddy, I got my CBR and have been having a lot of fun riding in BKK, you want to meet up at some point soon with our bikes?
@Sambo1119 жыл бұрын
Hi Jaroslaw I got my CBR300R and i find the mirrors with limited field of view. can you post a link or a name to you add-on mirrors. Thanks Max
@JaroslawPajewski9 жыл бұрын
You can buy them at a store like Tesco or any store with car accessories. They attach to the existing mirrors with adhesive tape. They are used for cars but work even better for bikes :)
@Sambo1119 жыл бұрын
Thanks Using your keywords "adhesive tape" i have ordered the following www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/191482388434?clk_rvr_id=809412546474&rmvSB=true www.ebay.com/itm/351223884431 My initial impression from the CBR is that is a Joy to use in a highway and kind of pain within the city due to the leaning riding position so no much control in low speed. But its a very fine first bike for a beginner like me.
@JaroslawPajewski9 жыл бұрын
Great, glad you like it. Let me know how you like those mirrors.
@Sambo1119 жыл бұрын
I got two sets. One flat which occupies more space from the mirror its attached to and the ones with a stand as illustrated below: www.flickr.com/photos/104412542@N04/16614867114/ This one is great as it leave more space from the original mirrors and flexible to rotate! To sum up: Create tip as you can finally starting to see whos behind you. Now for your other warning regarding the tires which not hold very well in the rain i am going to buy the Pirelli Diablo Rosso II. (just for the rainy season as their life span are short since they are soft) I will upload my video shortly
@JaroslawPajewski9 жыл бұрын
good to hear you can see better:) As far as tires, I read about the Rosso II and what what people are saying they wear out quickly, around 5-7K km. That's not good enough for me so buy them only if you have the money to change them often. I just bought the Pirelli Sport Dragon and as soon as I had them put on it started to rain. So I rode home in heavy rain and had a great time. It was a huge improvement from the stock tires and they're quite cheap. I paid 3,900 baht for the pair installed. That's bout 120 dollars. :)

Nice vid and commentary. What is your size? I am a bigger rider at 184.5 cm, and 118kg. Can the 250/300 handle someone my size especially on the highway? I plan to use the bike for commuting, with the occasion highway tour. Thx in advance.
@JaroslawPajewski6 жыл бұрын
Hi Lamorn, I'm 75 kg and often ride with my wife for longer trips and the bike go all day at 130-140 km/h.

Jarek Pajewski - Thx for answering me. So the two of you is roughly equal to one of me. I've been to Bkk, Khon Kaen, Chiang Mai, and Chiang Rai as well as Mae Sai and a day trip to Tachelek, Myanmar. When I return to Thailand I will be staying long term, so I am looking for a commuter that can also do double duty as a touring machine on a budget. I found quite a few 250s around 50k to 65k, but I'm willing to pay a bit more for a 300cc for a bit more umph. my choice boils down to a SYM Joymax 300/400, Kawasaki Z250/Ninja, or Honda CB300F/CBR250R or 300.
@themorn21126 жыл бұрын
For now I have to settle with riding vicariously though you. Thx much for you great videos 👍👍🏾
@JaroslawPajewski6 жыл бұрын
Kawasaki, Yamaha and Honda are the best choices for Thailand if you plan on touring, you will find their dealers and repair shops all over Thailand, Honda being the most common. Yamaha has some new models with two cylinders as does Kawasaki, they have a bit more power but cost more. Honda is the most affordably priced 300.
@themorn21126 жыл бұрын
Thx for your advice. My biggest factor in my decision process is my budget. The Honda CBR250R is currently the front runner because of the value and adequate power for my body size, with the 2nd/3rd choice being the Kawasaki Ninja 250, CB300f being interchangeable. I can push 70k baht for a 300cc 2nd hand. The SYM Joymax is in the running because it is a practical vehicle for commuting, with a big enough tank for touring. I am not a hard rider, so I can live with the performance hit. One more factor to consider is my age. I am well into middle age at 53, so my body may not agree with the more aggressive posture of the CBRs. With that said, the CBR despite the sport style, has a more upright riding posture that makes it more palatable for me, which also keep the SYM GTS300 EVO in the running. I am even going so far as considering a Honda Phantom as a back up machine.
