Jo lal shukhi mirch hoti hain na, usko apko tel pe ya tawe pe thorasa roast karlena hain. Roast karne ke baad 1 ya 2 minutes ke baad use karna hai

Every time she crushes red chilies and green chilies by hands I cringe at the thought of how her fingers would burn… I am a South Indian and we use mortar and pestle for crushing such spices…pls try using it…

That's how we do it. I guess every nation and culture has their own way of doing things, this is the Bangladeshi way. Btw, there is a technique of not burning your hand while mashing. Before mashing the red chillies if one uses the mustard oil and coat it with oil then it doesn't burn.
