In 2016 I was searching for mukbangs and then (what I came to learn was was eatJin) popped up. So I watched it, then searched up Jin and found out he was in a kpop band called BTS! Now they changed me for the better as I used to be so narrow minded and insincere is my actions and now I’d describe myself as a really nice and kind person. Jin is a vocal powerhouse, and he needs to start seeing this before I learn korean just to scold him 😂😭😔...

It's just saddening to know that there are people in the fandom that thinks Jin is dispensable, and always points out his weaknesses. Not only Jin gets this treatment but other members as well, especially the hyung line. He has said in their interviews how he viewed himself as less skilled because he knows how other people in the fandom think of him. BTS won't be BTS if they're not 7. They won't be the BTS we know now if one of them is missing. Every one is a crucial part of the dynamics of the group and we know how each of them affects and contributes to the growth of another. I agree with you. Jin's solos are my favourite because I can feel emotions in his voice and I relate with the lyrics of his songs. It really made me surprised and a bit sad to see Jin being so hard on himself. I hope one day he realises how special he truly is.

Yes. I agree that he has the widest range from the group. He actually can reach V's deep voice and jimin/jk's high notes. It's just that they have different ways on how to control their voices. He is my bias and it's sad to know that he under estimates himself when it comes to singing. Hoping that his management and members help him also realize this. Crossing my fingers the self-doubt is not coming from the fact that they tell him songs doesn't suit his voice or that they find another member who is better to sing a part..which is apparently their process. It makes sense but at some point they need to fight for variety in their songwriting to feature him as well.

i love all members equally as they all shine differently and their magic is when there are together. indiviadually, Jin has a special place in my heart. he is misunderstood. and hide underneath this confident persona. it seems like a defense mechanism. but this happy, funny bold persona that we are used to seeing opened lots of doors for him and his band. he seems quite layered and complex. emotionally sensitive, critical and self doubting. i wish he will realise his worth. im not a solo stan either. i love them all indiviadually and them together as a band. With Jin I think there's a great deal below the surface, and I think he's quite deliberately (and wisely) self-protective in certain ways. @@Always4Bangtan same, abyss was incredibil vulnerable and truthful. i think that's why it hits a chord. it was a gift and honor to see and feel that part of him. it made me realise how multi-faceted he is an artist and as a person. his vocals is crystal clear and multi faceted (like him) and colorful when light shines on it.

Moon is my favourite vocal line solo song. My bias is Jimin and i am obsessed with his voice but Moon hits me somehow more than Jimins songs.

Hi! glad to finally read that someone went through similar experience as me. I also found BTS through Jin's Moon. I got hooked by the song without knowing it was sung by BTS member Kim Seok Jin. When i listened to Butter, Jin's voice was the first one that caught my ears. Agreed to what JK said, Jin's voice is that voice of a 'young man', but to me it's distinct and 'raw/clean', kind of vocal i like bc it conveys many emotions. Then i found that the owner of the voice was similar person who sang Moon. The rest is history, now i'm a new fans of BTS and Jin become my bias. The fact that his voice that captured me first (i was not a kpop fan at that time but he made me convert, lol) rather than his looks and personality (which i found later on to be as amazing that made me declare him as my bias) speaks volume about his real potential. It just made me sad to know that he didn't get adequate lines and screen time that suit him in group setting. BTS is an amazing boyband, all of 7 are unique but harmonizing beautifully together. I'm glad Jin got many parts in Butter and PTD, but with what he actually have i truly think he can go really far. It just seems to me that he somewhat got 'restrained' (idk bc of his old image or people's opinion on him, cmiiw). I hope we can see more of his art before he got enlisted later on.
