11 жыл бұрын" Banjara " was recorded live at the folk singer Mooralala Marwada's home in Dholavira, Kutchh, in front of a live audience consisting of his whole neighborhood and of course, the cows and the goats who occasionally tried to match their notes with ours!
The words are by the great saint poet Kabir who expressed the deepest Truth in the most simple language and whose poetry is as relevant today as it was in his times! Banjara is Maati Baani's interpretation of the popular folk song penned by Kabir.

This brings me such tender memories India. Such a culturally rich country. You can see how this very talented, highly educated and classically trained singer is filled with joy to have the honour to sing alongside such a gifted folk singer. Indian folk music is marvelous. How old, this kind of music never lost the tune and everybody prefers to listen again and again. Folk music threw able to see the culture as well as community corporation in that period. Value of the folk music, there is no measurement to measure and knows only people heart. यह भजन या गीत बंजारा जाति विशेष को लेकर नही है। कबीर दास जी ने भजन आत्मा शुद्धि के लिए गया है उसमे एक शब्द है जो बंजारा प्रयोग में लिया जिसका अर्थ शायद ही आपको समझ में आया है 👉बंजारा होने पर गर्व होने से 👉 भारतीय होने पर गर्व होना चाहिए

@@laughingcube My hindu boyfriend used to play this song in the privacy of his home when I was living in London. His family never knew about me, but I have never loved a man like I love him. We are not together any more, but I will always remember the way he made me feel. This song was one of his favourites and we danced to it many times, barefeet on the carpet, while it was cold and rainy outside.

Saint Baba ji Kabeer Sahib lives on in his holy Bani and singing like this! Baba Ji's bani is also recorded in the Sikh holy scripture The Guru Granth Sahib and read and sung through keertan in Gurdwaras worldwide including England where I was born and raised while keeping close contact with India !

Banjara " was recorded live at the folk singer Mooralala Marwada's home in Dholavira, Kutchh, in front of a live audience consisting of his whole neighborhood and of course, the cows and the goats who occasionally tried to match their notes with ours! The words are by the great saint poet Kabir who expressed the deepest Truth in the most simple language and whose poetry is as relevant today as it was in his times! This is breathtakingly gorgeous. I am a foreigner living in India and in general, have found it very, very challenging to connect with Bollywood music which is all-pervasive. Indian folk music, however, is so heartbreakingly beautiful. It's a pity it is so utterly eclipsed by the more commercial stuff.

Ruadh yes Indian folk music is very rich not only e Rajasthani and Punjabi which have got a lot of attention goan, Marathi, Gujarati Himachali, Garhwali, Kashmiri Bengali Nepalese all have excellent folk music to offer do I would say Hindi film music also some of it is quite good specially Amit Trivedi, Shankar Ehsaan loy ok, AR Rahman
