Banker from Minneapolis asks customer from Minneapolis where he went to high school, a very popular question in Mpls. He doesn't have a correct answer.

This kinda reminiscent of Gas Pump guy in No Country For Oldman. Strangers who have been carelessly stumbled upon a killer's plan. The difference is that this banker ends up dead

Literally the only reason she died was because she wouldn’t shut up. And her roommate as well just for being there. Love this movie

My only issue with this scene is: does she really know all of the high schools in Minneapolis? -which ones are there, which ones aren't? The fact that she declares so confidently that this high school doesn't exist, too me, is a bit of stretch.

I transplanted to Minneapolis in 1988. They really do ask this as a way to vet a person they meet. If you aren't from Minneapolis, they will tell you, you are always an outsider. You can never stop being an outsider. That's what the term outsider means to them And they find out by asking which high school you attended. Omaha is about the same size as Minneapolis and I know of most high schools here. It's not uncommon to be asked which high school you went to, if you are in Minneapolis. In Omaha, some folks used to ask, "Which parish do you live in?" Omaha used to be over 90% Catholic. And they gave street directions by parish, too. I had no idea where St. Margaret Mary's is.
