But there's no guaranty before hand what about my cosigner? It seems my 72 yo grandmother will lose her credit if I file it just goes to her. not worth it.

I need your help badly. Two of my kids have over $100k each in student loan debt through Sallie Mae. My daughter is able to make her $800+/ mo payments because she lives with her father. But she’ll never be able to move out. My son lives with his brother and cousin and works two jobs and still can’t afford the $900+/mo payment to Sallie Mae. He never graduated because he has problems with depression and severe anxiety as does my daughter just not as bad. Neither of them have hope for the future. They are 28 and 30. My ex is no-polar and spent everything including my retirement and I am co-borrower on half of these loans. My son is about to default and I’m scared. I pay $2400/mo in rent and have very little savings. I have a degree but stayed home with my kids for 20 years with part time jobs so I only make $54k . Please, please help us. What can we do???
