I'm pretty sure I was the guy who told you that you couldn't wear the GoPro! There's a lot of rules that the company who makes the mountain coaster has us enforce. The slide on the other hand, which is far more dangerous has pretty much no rules. You actually don't even need shoes! And those trees you saw aren't birches, they are aspens, one of the world largest living organisms. Anyways, great video man. I can't believe I just watched a 40 minute video about the town I live in but it was great, now I feel like I need to go spend some time on main street!

Thank you Jacob for taking me back home. I was born and raised in Utah and always remember going to Park City before it became shabby chic. It's changed alot. Always wanted to go down that Alpine Slide. As for that KFC I definitely remember going there as a kid sitting in a booth looking out at State Street. Best chicken ever! Thanks Jacob 💜

The Park City mining district was a giant producer of silver. Two mammoth mines in the district became famous for their large quantities of rich silver ore. In addition to silver, the Ontario and the Silver King mines extracted gold, lead, zinc, and copper ores.

The original KFC was in Corbin, KY, known as Sanders Cafe in the 1950s. The first franchise KFC was in Utah. Think of KFC and McDonald's. They are both similar to how they started. The original first McDonald's opened in San Bernadino, CA in 1940 called McDonald's Famous BBQ, the BBQ name was dropped in 1948 and the first franchise McDonald's opened in Des Plaines, Illinois in 1955.

I’m a lifty at PC, and was in the vid for a glimpse. For the heights that you mentioned, it’s the minimum you to have to be to do said activity alone. The highest point of Park City Mountain is 10026 ft, but you have to take multiple chairs during the winter if the lifts are open. In addition, it’s expert terrain off of Jupiter lift. We do not spin all of chairs in summer because lift maintenance and electronics do a lot of work on them during the summer. You did get idea of lift speeding up near the end of the terminals! Ps. It’s a chairlift, not a sky chair. ;)

I love the video. Everything you showed us was cool. I loved seeing the raven and the owl. Birds always fascinate me. I also remember when my local KFC in Danville, IL had the rotating bucket for the sign. This was back in the '90s. Sadly this location has been closed for several years. There is however a Popeyes and a Lee's Famous Recipe located in Danville. Also some local restraints and grocery stores sell fried chicken. I wish Danville, IL would get another KFC. It also would be cool if KFC would bring back the rotating bucket sign.

There is a speed where you can fly out just going too fast. But some of the alpine slides use a nylon/plastic brake rails that come down. However if you pull hard enough it'll pull the rubber wheels (which actually grip) off the slide and only the fairly slippery brake rails touching. So you can slide up and out of the slide at a much lower speed. Heavy braking before or after never during the corners else there's a good chance of flying out or even sliding up the curve and falling out onto the slide.

Nice vid. I love Park City, especially in winter for snowboarding. Interesting to see in the fall. As I am usually there with snow in winter. I like the fall colors are slowly beginning in places. Did I miss the introduction of Danielle? What she a guide, family, or friend? The sleds look scary with no ice or snow. I guess I am more used to winter activities. Hehe. When you were doing down, I was like "let it rip". Ahh I was writing this while watching. Makes sense that you can fly off. That is the scary part I was referring to. I am surprised no helmets while riding. Especially if you can fly out. Id go slow as well. When I would travel in Quebec, Canada. Being it is all French speaking, KFC is actually PFK on the signs in French. The acronym in French is Poulet frit Kentucky. So when you visit Quebec, Canada visit PFK. Thank you for sharing.

Silver was mined in Park City. Park City Museum on Main Street in Old Town. Believe me the City of Park City definitely does not represent all of Utah. Park City, Let’s just say most of the ideas or beliefs are more like California. So it’s definitely a completely different city. So it can get very interesting. Olympic Park is fun. FYI Parking is horrific. Most of the time you have to go to the parking lot near the high school and take a bus into Old Town. When it snows it’s even worse. All the roads are so narrow so when the snow plows it makes the road even more narrower. Lots of steep hills in Park City which makes it more adventurous when it snows. So be prepared for that. Don’t speed because if you do they will get you.

The first Kentucky Fried Chicken was in Salt Lake City. Colonel Sanders first developed and sold his chicken in Corbin Kentucky but that location was not a KFC. Mr Harman worked with Mr Sanders to develop and build the first KFC. Mr Harmon was big in Utah and there is still a local grocery store chian named after him. Also sad that in 2004 they decided to take down the original building for some reason.

I think its stupid for places not to allow people to video on their rides if done safe because that's free advertising for the rides. The more you see of the ride the more you want to go ride it. On the KFC thing I think the first one was in Corbin Ky and the first KFC franchise was there in Utah. Always a great watch on your videos and will keep watching.
