You're missing a fundamental point of how these tech companies make decisions. They're public companies whose largest investors are all BlackRock and Vanguard Capital. Together they own 15-20% of all these companies. These Capital firms also have "ESG Mandates" which force these companies to comply among Social Credit guidelines or else they don't get investment. Before you say "Capitalism", understand these two companies are the first in the history of this country to get direct payment from the Fed since the pandemic started. That's not capitalism. I'm able to watch this only because I'm laid out with covid,I was vaccinated in june of last year then caught it in January and now caught it a second time at the beginning of this week. So for me personally I went from not catching covid for the first year and a half before I was vaccinated to now catching it twice since I got vaccinated. Replacing someone at a job or someone getting fired isn't an equivalent argument for someone being cancelled from basically all online social platforms. That's a disingenuous comparison.

A note about the sweden, is that while we werent forced to wear masks, we did, we werent forced to take vaccine, but we did, when we felt sick, we stayed home, we kept distance, we kept hygiene. (albeit masks have all but dissapeared these days). And saying that nothing closed down isnt right either, because places were closed, and limitations on how many can enter X sized areas were put in etc. Restaurants shifted from being open, to doing takeout, some had to close permanently. Maybe this wasnt happening when he was here, but it did happen, and if more restrictions were made earlier on, maybe it didnt have to happen at all. We also dont have any anti-mask/covid is fake etc. movement like in the US, and we are also more sparsely populated into minor cities. So if people do get sick, its easier to manage, and quarantine, people usually just meet the same people, and infections get stuck within these smaller groups when they enter. So just saying "Sweden didnt close down and they were fine, but other places didnt and lived in panic, and therefore they shouldnt have closed!" is a dishonest take. The people going out to party despite it all, could do that, because outside of that, people followed restrictions, and outside of the partying, people kept themselves out of covids way. Not to say sweden did it great though, the government definitely should/shouldve take/taken more actions, because at the initial stages they didnt do much if anything at all, but the video here makes it seem like nothing was done, when in its more so the government asked people to do things other countries required them to do, but people did them anyway (mostly), because we dont have the same kind of "anti-government" views as f.e. the US. One thing i will say though, is that the "panic" parts is probably true, dont think there was ever anything more than just more or less worry about it here,. But with all the circumstances and cultural differences taken into account, how well would that approach have worked in the US? Or other countries that are much more densely populated? 1 sick person in sweden, wouldnt affect that many or that big an area, 1 person sick in a town with the population of the entirety of sweden though? Change your location using a VPN to a different location (in the same country), Google the same sensitive topic and see how drastic it changed. Then expand it to different countries. Then try different search engines. I would love to see your response to the differences.

Well covid made existing health problems worse. For example, I have IBS and it made my stomach feel like my organs were gonna come out of both ends. A week after the symptoms went away for the most part, I had a grand Mal seizure and hadn't had one of those in years prior to covid and hadn't done anything to trigger it. I'm not overweight or all that unhealthy but I have pre-existing conditions and people were dying from health complications due to their pre existing conditions got worse. Like people with bad hearts or who were at risk of blood clots or strokes died from that. 60% of all the residents at my moms assisted living facility died. It was really pretty fucked up.

Turns out now we know obesity and type 2 diabetes people are more at risk of it (and i was right)

Bit late watching this. I live in Stockholm. I was WFH for 18 months during Covid. Mask was used in general when commuting. Gatherings of people was prohibited above 50ppl in a venue at times. Resturants couldnt serve alcohol after a certain time.
