If you want a much better two hander, I have a Falx build that is pretty amazing. Without a legendary you can get some pretty sick builds, but I’ve altered it now that you can get the weapon tiers and we all know what you need to make them. I could be wrong and you love that axe- but the Falx also has shieldbreaker so it functions similar to an axe, but my legendary version comes out to 132 length, 159 swing damage, 94 swing speed, and 81 handling. The non-legendary version I think I’d have to look on specifics but basically I believe it was 135 length (which is the main difference), and I think 92 or 93 swing speed, with 156 swing damage and 81 handling. I wish they didn’t put limitations on some of the polearms. I’ve made some sick two handed swingable and lances. I’ve got a polearm that I shortened to be like an axe that is significantly stronger as well (96 speed, 129 length, 165 damage I believe), it just doesn’t have shield breaker- but I wish they would let you have some options to gain shield breaker on some of those (like the heavy glaive and voulge heads realistically should have shield breaker), or the ability to have couched lance on a pilum head, or a variety of the other self imposed limitations where equipping some type of weapon part makes it lose an ability that other parts have. If you want a specific type of weapon though, I’ve figured out what I believe are the best in class types of weapons for each weapon style- but I also have a ton of different alternates in case you prefer a certain style of weapon (like the rhomphaia over the heavy glaive). Most of my polearms I make with the throwing shaft to add versatility but I’ve got some short versions that I make with the base shaft for speed and to keep it shorter, I’ve got others that are obscenely long, or best damage at a certain length. You don’t really “need” them all to be legendary, but I try to make everything so that it can become legendary (weapon part score 4.5+ avg.), but some of them I go with the Masterwork for a specific attribute/effect. If you specifically want rhomphaia’s I’ve got a 175 length rhomphaia that is 86 speed, 84 handling, 155 damage if I remember right, but I also have two shorter ones for additional speed, and some longer versions that are optimized but obviously speed goes down as length goes up. For crafting, they really need to fix the fact that anything with 3 parts can’t become legendary (because empty slots count as tier 1) and add in Tier 5 parts to every part that doesn’t have it right now. After that I’d love it if they’d do more to make axes and maces closer to the top tier swords and polearms. Also, I 100% am with you that we need to be able to whistle for our horse! I hate it when I’m doing a siege and I want to be on horseback to start to arrange my siege so the right companion is shooting, and then go use my bow and ride around behind the enemies if there’s gaps in the wall just annihilating them, but then I have to get off my horse to arrange the companions and the horse gets hit with an arrow and retreats/disappears before I catch it. Sorry this ended up kinda long, it’s hard to describe without it getting that way, and I rant a little bit about all the dumb shit they need to fix when I talk about it lol. Let me know if you want the recipes to make weapons though or if you want a specific weapon type to try out one of my builds. If you specifically like axes, I’ve got some pretty good ones too, but personally I would ditch it entirely, I don’t see any benefit you get from the axe that you don’t get with the Falx, except much better all around. If you don’t care if they have shieldbreaker/knockdown/dismount, that type of effects, I can always add more length/speed/damage to some of the items as well, but I usually try to go for maximum effects with the best attributes unless I’m going for a specific length/speed/damage. Thanks for posting this. I havea few questions: How do you level up your companions? How do you pick them? And last but not least, what's your setting for selecting which units enter battle in the first wave? I think the default sends a % according to the number of each kind of units.. and there's another one that sends top tier first... what's your setup? Thanks!
