@riconui52272 жыл бұрын
He wanted to “deconstruct the administrative state”. I never heard him even hint at what he thought should replace it, or express any concern for the people (not the 1%ers) effected by such a transformation. But he’s such a GENIUS? …… or not.
@SisyphusJP2 жыл бұрын
@@riconui5227 do you replace a wart after it’s removed? No obviously his point being power has moved far and away from the republic and into perennial state operatives in the alphabet agencies. Power belongs to the people and its representatives, as time has gone on that power has been relinquished time and time again. It’s not about liberal or conservative it’s about conglomerating power and who we choose. Government agencies or the people.
@dozzer0092 жыл бұрын
@@SisyphusJP I hear what you’re saying and agree on several points yet I feel the way Bannon’s moving is dangerous and irresponsible. It’s one thing to turn the people against the rot in Washington but this has ramped up to the point that a percentage of the country is itching for another civil war. He has no plan other than to disrupt our civil norms and comity while giving the country the middle finger. “Power belongs to the people and it’s representatives” is ideal in theory yet Citizens United kinda put the screws to that by essentially saying (big) money has a more prominent place at the table. Doesn’t seem very representative considering that an estimated 70% of the nation’s wealth is held by the top 1% or in other words, the top 1% now holds more wealth than the entire middle class. He made his wealth off the backs of the people he claims to despise and is now figuratively weaponizing those people with a steady diet of lies to further his agenda. I don’t see this path as anything but destructive and dangerous but that’s just my opinion. I welcome your thoughts.
@SisyphusJP2 жыл бұрын
@@dozzer009 I disagree with the premise of civil/revolutionary war. I think that’s a facade created by the mocking bird media in part to justify more extreme government seizure of power particularly the 4th arm buerocrats. @@01happykat I love how you right-wingers like to make baseless accusations or you say that everyone knows. Don't you realize by now people have caught on to your attempts at subliminal tricks. Hillary Clinton was investigated during the Trump Administration. If anyone would have like to seen Hillary Clinton held accountable it was the Trump Administration. The right-wing media whores and Donald Trump play you for stupid. They know you're intellectually lazy and so they just tell you what they think you want to hear. Out of 30 thousand emails nothing came of it. It seemed like by now you would start to catch on that they were just telling you what they think you wanted to hear. I'm sure you were one of those chatting, lock her up! That was all a distraction so that you wouldn't notice that most of Donald Trump's Inner Circle we're actually being locked up. Trump's campaign chairman Paul Manafort, Deputy campaign chairman Rick Gates, foreign policy George Papadopoulos, Director of National Security Michael Flynn, and Trump's personal attorney Michael Cohen were either convicted or plead guilty to Serious crimes. The one crime they all had in common was lying to Federal investigators about their contacts with Russian operatives. Now Bannon has been indicted for embezzling money that was supposed to go to building the wall. Instead he was buying expensive yachts. Remember how sure you all were that the Clinton Foundation was corrupt. Once again it was a distraction so that you wouldn't notice that the Trump Foundation was closed down for fraud and the board members order to not serve any nonprofit organizations and Donald Trump was ordered to pay a $2 million dollar fine for misusing charitable contributions. Also the Trump University was also closed down for fraud and Trump was ordered to refund 25 million dollars. This all may seem like news to you because you've been trapped inside of a conservative information bubble. Anything outside that bubble was carefully labeled, fake news and you and millions of others fell for it. I remember the right-wing media whores making a big deal out of the Durham report. It was supposed to bring down everybody including Obama. Well newsflash dum dum Dirhams going home. I see why Donald Trump decided to tell the big lie about the election being stolen. He knew you would fall for it and in the process he has damaged democracy in this country. Along with the gullible idiots that attacked the United States Capitol Building you have made America look like a bunch of primitive thugs. Worst of all you follow behind Trump but he didn't give a damn about you. He took the liberty to stand in front of thousands of his gullible idiots and Proclaim that the covid-19 virus would be down to zero in just a few days. When that lie out he came back and told you covid 19 with disappear with the summer heat. As the election group closer he got even more desperate. We all watched as Trump stood on a national stage and recommended dangerous remedies off the top of his head. Donald Trump pretended that the virus wasn't serious but then the Bob Woodward interview came out and we can hear Trump in his own words claiming that the virus was extremely dangerous and highly contagious. So why did he lie except to protect his re-election campaign. Donald Trump came to office to drain the swamp. He prove that he hated Obama more than he loved America when he canceled Obama's pandemic defense infrastructure in 2018. Obama used this plan to shut down the international spread of Ebola without shutting down Commerce or even international travel. When the first case of Ebola made it to America Donald Trump went on Fox News to grandstand. Trump demanded that Obama resign. So why didn't Donald Trump resign when hundreds of thousands of Americans died and millions got infected. More Americans died in less than a year in 2020 then died in four years of combat in World War II. Donald Trump was in way over his head but his gullible political base saw him as the perfect anti- Obama president. Trump very skillfully took credit for the great economy that Obama established but it didn't take long for him to mess it up. What did you really expect from a man that filed for bankruptcy six times and had numerous businesses foreclosed on. Trump lost more money in the 1980s than any other American taxpayer. The fact of the matter is if it hadn't been for Donald Trump's father repeatedly bailing him out he would have disappeared from the public decades ago. Trump will endure as the president that inspired an attack on the United States Capitol building. Trumps political thugs not only infiltrated BLM protests Nationwide to instigate violence but they came to the Capitol Building to kill or capture members of Congress and the former vice president. Trump didn't even call to see If the former vice president was safe. Unlike you right-wingers I don't make baseless accusations. Everything I have said is backed up in the public record so don't go calling this fake news. Trump's Legacy will be considered a disaster and I'm sure future Generations will wonder how we went from the extreme competence of Barack Obama to a New York Crime Boss with no qualities that make him eligible to be president. I guess you thought he was going to make you great again but he failed miserably.

“We’re going to take power away from you, and give it to someone else” Your forgot to mention the “you” is the administrative state, not the people. But these are minor details… “…restrict Muslims from coming to the United States” No, restrict travel from 5 Muslim countries not all muslims. I see many people fawning over Frontline. Yes, the narrator ha a great voice, it has very good music and is well edited, but I’m 2 minutes in, and there are already multiple factual flaws. So yeah, count me out.

Right, five countries. The ones he left out are the ones where he has hotels and are the ones which actually sent terrorists or the one with the most Al Qaeda. It had nothing to do with security, and everything to do with a trump grifting Bannon world.
@Mark-kq6ch Жыл бұрын
@@prism8289 Those 5 countries were named in a report by the Obama admin. Trump and Bannon were already wealthy before they went into public life. Biden needed public office to make his millions. According to Forbes, Trump's net worth went down 1 billion dollars. His family was also getting constant death threats (as happens to all presidents, but almost certainly more to him). If you think he ran for president to lose $1 billion and then grift a little here and there you are ignorant. Your projections are tiresome.
@Mark-kq6ch Жыл бұрын
@@prism8289 "It had nothing to do with security..." Look at Iraq before and after Trump. In 2016, 90% of the country had been overtaken by a terrorist group. When Trump left office, that group had been destroyed and Iraq was having elections again with fingerprint ID. I wonder if the Iraqi people think he's a grifter like you do, or if they are grateful for having their country back. They would probably think you're a spoiled little brat living in a bubble to think what you think, and they'd be right.
@prism8289 Жыл бұрын
@@Mark-kq6ch more to him. Uh, Obama just entered the room. Lost a billion dollars? So, about that 400 million dollars in debt as revealed in the tax returns. Again, if you were banning Muslims, those countries are thee countries you would ban. There is only one certainty from the time of Trump. It was the biggest grift in history of the United States. And for those places that did break relationships, they didn’t want to be associated with the Con Artist in Chief, it was the result of him smashing their reputations. It’s like saying Ken Lay and Enron made a sacrifice for the American people in losing so much money .

Richard Nixon was known as maybe the toughest politician of his time. No one wanted to win more than him. Yet, in his book "Six Crises", he said that even though everyone told him to contest the 1960 election because of irregularities he would not because he did not want to put the country through the ordeal
@Matt-cr4vv11 ай бұрын
Was assuredly a noble move at the time to not only decide not to contest the election but to contact those who were pumping out the issues to ask them to stop and verifying the election himself in his role as VP. Further notable because he had a genuine case of fraud and irregularity to challenge. But at the same time it may very well have been strategy to live another day. In an election that close you easily know your day may still be close. Challenging things and putting the country through that is a risk at killing support and it also didn’t ensure he’d get s positive outcome. I think there would be decent risk if you challenge things and then it doesn’t flip the outcome. Or even think to Hawaii where they held s recount and it flipped the state from his favor. But it also makes his ending that much more ironic to go from 1960 to all the actions he took with watergate and hiding it because he was paranoid to lose an election he won in a landslide.

It’s weird that people saw this as a partisan hit job and at no point in the video did PBS or Frontline editorialize to introduce a specific narrative. I learned about Brannon and how he feels and his interactions from those who were in the trenches with him.
@turboredcart2 жыл бұрын
It did sort of have no point. Maybe their will be with Roger Stone.

Frontline isn't supposed to have a narrative. They're non partisan. You can find a full Bannon interview on Frontline. It least an hour and it's very intriguing about his history and idealology.
@oldmandoinghighkicksonlyin13682 жыл бұрын
I think the appearance of partisanship comes from the absence of highlighting that the liberal MSM cartel does the same thing. Brietbart definitely takes it to the extreme and deserves an episode of its own. Maybe a balanced approach would be showing similar tactics and narrative-driving from the Big Five, regardless of the political affiliation of their audience.
