This is a VERY good layout and guideline for the anatomy of Bansuri flute playing these two flutes. I play both G and F natural bass flutes and confirm one must adapt the body to the flute which may or may not be good for you... thank you for your offering!

Before buying E base flute first check your finger length. Normal E base flute suitable for long fingers because the finger hole distance. Short fingers players must customize the finger hole distance

I really appreciate u for enilghting this commonly- faced problem.Ur suggested wam up exercises r also v.effective & praiseworthy.It is fact that nobody has spoken on this problem as yet.Thank u v.much for being so concened & informative.keep it up.The manufacturers should also do some modification resolving this problem.
@BansuriLove4 ай бұрын
It's my pleasure. I do hope manufacturers start changing the alignment of the holes starting from F Base or E Base flute so that flautists with both long and short arms/fingers will benefit. This will also encourage beginners to try Base flutes.

Im now up to C# bass and after 20 minutes my hands get very tired but I love the sound. It's taken a year to get comfortable, I can play fast now but going back to E after playing a larger flute makes it so much more easier. There is still more stretching I need to do before I move down to a Shankh A Bass
@BansuriLove3 ай бұрын
I’m glad to hear that. Please share a video once you record playing on the Shankh flute.

European music solved this centuries ago. Install some plumbing, and balance it on a metal rod, playing upright.

Though your input is noted, these flutes are completely different and thus result in different issues and solutions.

Wait theres a right handed flute? As a leftie should i get a left handed flute then? Is there an ambidextrous flute concept because i do have back issues alreadu and i feel having the ability to switch hands would help not have pain
@BansuriLove12 күн бұрын
Yes, there are right handed and left handed flutes. You will be able to find both on Punam Flutes Website. Smaller flutes can be ambidextrous but you definitely want the left handed flute when you buy Base flutes. The holes are moved slightly to contour to your finger position which makes a huge difference in playing.

I play E base flute from 1 year,but after playing 19-20 minutes my thumb pains very much Please give suggestions for it
@BansuriLove4 ай бұрын
Try not to press too hard on the flute. Only use enough pressure to close the holes. You would still need a break after 20-30min of playing. Pain is inevitable if you don’t have extra long fingers while playing E base.
@Aayushbhaleraoflute4 ай бұрын

E base can boost up blood pressure as well ?
@BansuriLove3 ай бұрын
If your Blood pressure is increasing after playing an E base, it is probably from the physical pain your body experienced from playing a bigger flute but not necessarily from the act of blowing into an E base. I’m more relaxed after playing because of the beautiful sound and long breathing sessions.

What about a D bass, is it even more painfull to play on the beginning?
@BansuriLove3 ай бұрын
I don’t have a D Base but I’m guessing it will be difficult to play.

I wonder why the E bansuri is standard, if it hurts? Why not G or F?
@BansuriLove4 ай бұрын
E Base is the sweet spot for meditative sound. I have a G-base that does not sound as beautiful and warm as an E-base and anything lower than E would be too low. Getting a custom made E-base would help a lot with pain.

It is spelled Bass. Please correct it so as to not spread incorrect information. Thank you! 🙏
