@@Karak-_- That dungeon is only for those who actually decide to go through the optional content in order to unlock the shared chalice dungeon feature and are okay with the risk of losing everything due to your HP literally only being 1 pixel wide while also playing online. If you are okay with that, then it is the most optimal - but if you are not, then the pig fisting route is the most optimal.

Bosses in this game are pretty random for some reason. Sometimes they are super easy and barely move or attack, and other times they are f crazy.

Same here (I first tried him). Albeit I was more than likely over leveled Vitality wise since I was able to get out of his insta-kill sword beam (would have died if I stayed in it though) and it was NG, not NG+. Maria and Orphan gave me far greater trouble than Ludwig did. As for Laurence, let's just say that I am currently on a 2 year break from fighting him in order to not go insane from all the BS that he has (he is resistant towards pretty much everything, only physical - thrust - blood - and serrated affect him - even then his weaknesses still have more defense levels than some of the other bosses in the game have for the attacks that they are not resistant to nor weak to [like Gascoigne]). Will admit that I was using a DEX/ARC build by the time I got to him, so that was probably one of the reasons why I was struggling.

The London being built on burial grounds thing is actually 100% true, but also exaggerated. There are a lot of old Celtic and Roman burial sites scattered around where modern London is. This is fairly common for former Roman settlements, as they often built themselves directly on top of existing large settlements. They keep discovering stuff the deeper they dig too.

The poison knife thing doesn't work anymore I don't think, or if you managed to get it to work, it is very rare. I think they did a quiet patch and now the way he "teleports" back into the room eliminates the poison effect. I haven't had it work in the last 4 attempts when I tried it in the last 2 to 3 months. There are also some other tweaks I noticed that are different, more chalice dungeon setup/rooms, some enemies were nerfed (like the doll summon witches in the chalice dungeon now only summon 3 instead of 4, are no longer consealed behind objects, and has a slight delay before re-summoning a doll after death), the "no insight" exploit on the Witches of Hemwick doesn't work.

I can confirm that the no insight exploit still works on the witches of hemwick (source I've been playing for less than a month and I did it). It doesn't work the *first time* because seeing a boss gives you insight but if you sell any insight you get from seeing them the first time and go back the exploit works
