@@Amaling Texas is not connected to the national power grid like other states are (by choice) and from what I understand some parts of texas are less regulated, which means power companies are more profit driven. This means cost cutting on maintainance to increase profit margin, resulting in more damage caused by storms (like a downed power pole, or tree limbs falling on the lines)

My German Sheppard is a Wolf mix, She's very very low mix, has the face and paws of a wolf and the size but the, "I'm going to follow my nose to the next state over" Sheppard part. Found her at a City shelter, no one would take her and she was on the list. Took her home that night. She's so loyal and so dumb and goofy. Wolfdogs are not pets, they take so much work and no matter how tired from work, or shitty your day, you have at least a 5 mile walk a head of you. If she doesn't get her walk or run time, she's like a 2 year old with ADHD and will get into everything, barks at everything.

On the subject of animals like Georgie and littering, I would like to emphasize the importance of proper disposal of engine oil and cleanup of leaks. When it rains, stormwater will wash that into creeks, rivers and streams on the way to the ocean.

@@sugarsore ? Oh I see the issue. "Herp" is short for "herptile", which refers collectively to all reptiles & amphibians. The study of such animals is called herpetology. Bao was surprisingly knowledgeable about this subject here; even leaving aside her whole thing with skinks, most random people wouldn't immediately know what a Sulcata tortoise is either (or recognize any species of tortoise outside the Galapagos, really.) It shows that, at the very least, she has some degree of genuine personal interest or experience with such animals, which is pretty cool.
