This is extremely easy to answer. Bao's comedy schtick is "to cringe the furthest opposite". If society were culturally all whores, Bao would be the purest nun there ever was. This is why in a convention filled with down-bad fans and two colleagues who feed such hordes, Bao's special effect of "52 hertz of difference" causes her to become unregistered via an absolute state of opposition, literally calm and clean. This is why, as amazing as it is to realize, when Bao becomes a barking drooling toilet destroying blueberry beast, that's the equivalent of saying the world is happy, heathy and well fed, which is why we must cringe at her deplorable state of strangeness, because she's nothing like us at all, so if she's ever better than us in any way, we couldn't thereby be any worse to ourselves? Bao is a cursed mirror, dare we never find a reflection that is sane and good, may what we find always be furthest from our very best of self! May we laugh at its strangeness, may we never be jealous or vein to what we find presented to us, for we will never see ourselves in what stares back at us. That's what makes Bao's performance so genius, it is a commentary on society, the jester of the court who should never look like the king, for the kingdom would be doomed if it ever was.
