Oldie but goodie. It still works so I keep using it! It's a nightmare inside working on it. And hell if I can figure out how to actually get the GPS to work.

@@CallMeColtLLC Tough books either have the GPS with the cellular modem or they can have the cellular modem and a stand alone too. There are settings in your BIOS for this. It's been so long since I had a 19 open so I couldn't walk you through the bios setup. But I'm sure you can Google it. It's also not unusual for the antenna cable to come unplugged. Pop it open and see if anything is loose. Or it could be broken. I remember seeing that stupid swivel LCD pinch the antenna cables. The antennas will be under the black covers on the edge of the LCD. Pop those off and make sure there isn't any corrosion on the boards. ETA: The cell modem doesn't need to be activated with a carrier for the GPS to work. It should work fine without service. But it's possible that modem module is bad. I'm sure you could pick up a used one on ebay cheap if you wanted to test it.

@@njw1977 I have the LTE modem in mine and the stand alone that I installed that is the bulbous one on the side. Didn't know the one in the LTE modem could work with a SIM. May need to open it up again. It's configured in BIOS properly, it was Windows 10 drivers that seemed to not like it.

Good idea. CommGearSupply somewhat has done this already, but, that cost money. If you can make it yourself, great idea!

Wasn't meant to be an insult, just a lot of people are intimidated by a "HAM radio" and want something more simple. That's what I was getting at.

Yes it is. They are very close to some of the lower end Motorola multipin connectors. You can modify them to work. But, with these models becoming more popular, more places are making things work with them, so adapting isn't needed.

@@CallMeColtLLC hmm. I'll keep that in mind. Haven't decided on the change yet or not. I'm running the M32s like you have. Want to say they are non amplified if I remember correctly from when I got my disco 32 Ptt

I do not cover any sort of software or anything on my channel due to the massive amount of variation in computers & user knowledge of software navigation.

Sounds like your offset isn't correct.

The radio should have come with the cable if you got it new. Did it not? If it didn't, I would ask the seller why it didn't.

It varies from channel to channel. Basically it is set to whatever the max power you are legally able to TX for GMRS on for the channels.
