A visit to the Bape Store in Shibuya Tokyo.
A Bathing Ape (or BAPE) is a Japanese clothing brand founded by Nigo in 1993. The brand specializes in men's, women's and children's lifestyle and street wear, running 19 stores in Japan.
Bape frequently collaborates with other brands and features characters from popular media such as SpongeBob SquarePants, Marvel comics characters, Nintendo, DC Comics, and Hello Kitty and the Sanrio Family. These designs are used throughout the Bathing Ape range, on goodies, accessories, hoodies, jackets, T-shirts and shoes. A Bathing Ape has also collaborated with many other famous brands such as Pepsi, Coca Cola, M*A*C, Neighborhood Technical Apparel, Mastermind Japan, Carhartt, Casio and artists such as Beastie Boys, Pharrell, UNKLE, Devisu, Kanye West, ASAP Rocky, ASAP Ferg, Kid Cudi, Soulja Boy, Pusha T, KAWS, Kreayshawn, Linkin Park, Gary Panter, Big Sean, Lil' Wayne, Chris Brown and the Flatbush Zombies.

Were you there on Friday? Might have seen you lol I was at the bape store around 12pm I got a pair of asics x bape, half a size lower than my usual fit, but I couldn't resist getting better them, Too bad I had to leave Japan Friday night or I'll pop in again today(Saturday) they are releasing some new sharks!!

Definitely check out the Harajuku store when you come back. and if you're looking to film/find a shark hoodie, your best bet is to wait in line on a Saturday OR if you just want to see one the women's don't sell out as quickly as men's.

+w e l o o k i n s u m n w a v y just went there yesterday, for tees there will demos you can try on, as for jackets they always have to go in and out of the storage to check but you are free to try the ones on display

Bape Shibuya is whatev, Aape by Bape in Harajuku has better selections, less crowded and the shopping location on Cat St is incomparable.

+Arthur Sorrell It used to be really big mid 2000s. Clipse was rocking it, and Pharrell had recently made the brand Billionaire Boys Club/Ice Cream with Nigo, the founder of Bape. I know A$AP mob loves the stuff, being from NY. One of my favorite artists who has been into Bape is Curren$y. Dude's an OG in terms of music, has stayed in his own lane, and dude has some vintage bape haha.

+Arthur Sorrell Also if you are interested, I'd suggest going on Bapetalk (a forum). One of the major admins has massive knowledge and responds to every legit check. They also have guides on how to spot real/fake tags, and how to proxy ship from Japan (it's cheaper that way). My suggestion is while their new stuff is cool too, their older stuff had more variations IMO (Nigo was still wiht the brand then), and the materials/quality was mildly better as stuff was still made in Japan. After ~2011 Nigo was out of the picture and the production moved to mostly China. Don't be turned off by buying new Bape tho, their newer stuff is still very good quality. You can often find older season Bape for cheap on yahoo auctions japan for cheap as well, it's all in the buying from japan guide on the website.

+Ephrem Goldstein best holiday location ever, everyone is so well mannered, great food (have not eaten anything that tasted bad, even in fast food chain stores they taste awesome) you will be fine just using english, having internet with google maps and google translte will be all you need.

"did u also mis englelish klass?" Fucking idiot. It's designer, not Burlington clothing, there's a difference. Artist wear this clothing which is how brands like these gain popularity and make money. If they sold it for cheaper everyone would have it. Also its not just a "simple" T-Shirt depending on which shirt, some are made with a more expensive material which indicates why the price is extremely high. It's a fashionable brand. Also, just to point out if you got something from the same brand for 20$ it isn't legit and will fade or rip easily during first wash. Also please enroll yourself into some English classes.
