Regarding this place,its historically sooo important in kashmir History. Its the place where most of the water of the lake breached out due to some earthquake or some supernatural being like kashap Rishi thousands of years ago..its the place from where almosttt all waters from verinag to lidder to sindh drain out .its the place which historically used to get blocked due to falling rocks and repeatedly was dredged from the times of Avantivarman to modern times. The road going near it goes to muzaffarabad and then to pakistan is a historical road conecting kashmir valley to the outside world constrcted in 1890 during the time of Maharaja Pratap singh,the dogra ruler of lashmir state and its through this route that the tribals/Qabailis invaded the kashmir state in october 1947..
