Plot: When two children go missing in a small German town, its sinful past is exposed along with the double lives and fractured relationships that exist among four families as they search for the kids. The mystery-drama series introduces an intricate puzzle filled with twists that includes a web of curious characters, all of whom have a connection to the town's troubled history -- whether they know it or not. The story includes supernatural elements that tie back to the same town in 1986. "Dark" represents the first German original series produced for Netflix.

Well, I think it's a different thing Dark is more complex, is not fair to compare you know :) Both are great and unique, Dark even more (bc has time travel)

It would be like comparing a Tarantino film to a Nolan movie. Stranger Things still has a lot of quality, but at its roots, it's both referential and nostalgic. Dark tends to ask more questions (particularly in & from the Sci-Fi genre) and seeks out to be more original in its context. From a youth in small, town making a big discovery perspective it does not lean hard on The Goonies, ET or Back To The Future. Baran Bo Odar & Jantje Friese are paving a new way to do Sci -Fi / time travel. The Duffer Bros. are constantly paying homage to a bygone era, a la Tarantino.

I'm instantly a huge fan of these two. Depending on how this series plays out, this could be the "magnum opus" of time-traveling stories for any entertainment medium, or at least television. It was so well done. The direction throughout the season was stellar too. And now just like the Duffer Bros, they are left in a position to top themselves with a second season. This particular stew they created is much more complicated and mercurial than Stranger Things'. I wish them the best of luck, they're gonna need it.

Oh of course they're a couple! I think a German Writer/Director couple is literally the only team who can come up with and execute such a complex story so effectively. I will be keeping my eye on further projects from these two

Apart from what seems obvious at first glance, like time/interdimensional travel, 1980s and small towns? No idea, really. They are two completely different beasts (and I have to admit, I never really managed to get into Stranger Things). But then, there are also people who say The O.A. was similar to Stranger Things.

The loop doesn't exist anymore, the universe corrected the error and removed it and the two extra worlds when the time machine wasn't built

The complex depth of the story and the pacing is executed exceptionally well. This must've taken you both many months - if not years - to figure out to the very last detail. The result is astounding though: Dark is my favorite TV show. Ever. Full stop. Congratulations!

That woman right there is GENIUS!! 🧠💣 She is an honour to her entire family ! Her kids will be so thankful for their mom 💗 ! I knew it.. I saw them in future, telling their kids grateful they are to have her as their mother.. And a while later, she visited their grandkids and greatgrand kids and they were just awestruck to see her ! She looked more like Old Claudia..

imagine how hard would be to think off and create every aspect of this show from zero, every connection, the path of every object with its quantum copies, over the whole series. Trying to match everything together without breaking such complexity interrelation. I can not imagine another script with this level of masterpiece.

These two individuals are extra ordinary people with a brilliant skill of an imagination and direction. Maybe this comment will be lost but sometimes I think they did as much as equal or even more better job than Russo bros. it's just the difference between cinema and OTT. Web series industries will take some time to boost the hall of fame.
