This display of Hepworth's early sculpture explores her transition from figuration to abstraction. Starting with sculptures clearly representing the relationship between a mother and her child it traces the development of this motif into two separate forms.

Visiting "The Hepworth" for about the fourth time this afternoon to admire the beauty of the great artist's work I was, as on previous visits, moved to wonder what the lady herself would have made of the building ????

She was a fantastic woman with the heart and mind dedicated to the art but also to her own life and family. It's something to admire from a woman born at that time !

May I suggest you to speak with a less raspy/hoarse/indie girl type of voice next time. Rather annoying and tiring.
