Here it is - the final episode in the series and the one (I'm guessing) most of you have been waiting for.
Our Creative Gardens delivery arrives and we complete the garden transformation. I am so happy with how the BBQ Shack has turned out. It was a long process getting everything to this stage but now I can't wait to enjoy the fruits of my labour and start cooking some amazing food.
I want to give a massive thank you to Creative Gardens for coming on board with this series and project. I explained the vision I had for the garden and shack and they were as excited about it as I was.
If you like what you see in my garden, you can check out their full range of BBQ's, Outdoor Furniture, Heaters, Firepits as well as their range of gardening products.
Visit their website here - creativegarden...
Here are the items we bought for our garden
Nova Ciara Right Hand Sofa Set

RB73 Quaruba XL Outdoor Stove

I also want to say a huge thank you to my mum and dad. They are always there to help out when I start these projects (even though I would prefer they just relax and enjoy their retirement) and I wouldn't know how to do half of this work if my Dad hadn't shown me over the years.
I have put together an article on my website with all the dimensions, materials etc. Check it out here - barbechoo.com/...

Hi Ann, the festoon lights were from an electrical wholesaler but I found similar on Amazon. I've added an article to my website (link in the description of this video) and it lists all the items I used or suitable alternatives

Great videos. Just planning some a kitchen island outside, have you had any issue with the rain swelling the wood? Like the ideal of kitchen units and cladding them.

Looks absolutely outstanding and it's going to be a series I come back to again and again once I find the time to work on my own garden. Are the festoon lights from Creative Gardens or did you pick them up elsewhere? With the raised beds, are you tempted to cook an entire meal like the Berber & Q cauliflower shawarma with food you've grown yourself?
@Barbechoo
@Barbechoo Жыл бұрын
I think you've massively overestimated my growing abilities. Not sure I could make a meal from the bits we are growing. My cousin (electrician) got me the lights. They are connectable and have replaceable bulbs so no issues if one's goes out. I have an article coming out soon with all the details for the build Inc links to products etc

Great shack, I'm building one right now and contemplating the roofing, are you worried about the heat with the roofing you chose?
@Barbechoo
@Barbechoo Жыл бұрын
I had a similar roof on my old shack (it was slightly lower) and I never had an issue. Ive had the top vent of the KJ flipped open and it has been fine. If I'm ever doing really high heat I can always push the grill out into the yard but don't see it being a problem

Did you have to get permits or permission from the council or authority’s to build the shak? I don’t know the rules there. In some places in America (Los Angeles) I’d have to get permits for the framing, floor, electrical etc. Looks amazing, so happy for you! Very nice. Best Eric 😃😃
@Barbechoo
@Barbechoo Жыл бұрын
No not for something like this. It's still classified as a temporary structure so no planning permission etc required. Electrics are probably the most risky part but I've had them looked at by a spark so should be ok
