Chihiro's death hurt the most, especially when you found out how he died. Killed by the man he admired and was aspiring to be as strong as... It's so depressing...

Then you get to DR2 where most of the executions are Mondo Butters…then V3 they’re all absolutely BRUTAL.

@@edmg7 Bro, Monokuma actually ATE that butter. Like, it's cruel but still presented with goofiness, but when I saw him casually eating it I was like, "WTF, THAT'S HUMAN MEAT, Y'KNOW?!"

@@snailthelostcow63 considering that Monokuma is a robot, him eating the butter is pretty much the same as putting Mondo’s remains through a meat grinder. It’s really not any worse than the fact that Monokuma already liquified him, it’s just adding a goofy insult to the injury.

@@snailthelostcow63 I guess when you think about it in retrospect it is cruel. But at face value it was pretty goofy, so much so that I was like damn I wonder what Mondo Butter would taste like.

@@jamesoliver9278 I wouldn't say the most painful in the whole series. (3 Has some of the most painful ones.) But it's definetly the most painful one in the first game.

You should at least consider watching a playthrough of the game. There are many crazy moments throughout and Monokuma is usually a part of them.

I believe it’s the same VA in JP that played My Neighbor Totoro, deliberately chosen to make the juxtaposition between the cute, but menacing.

I think they're both great in their own rights.

For JP monokuma, its doraemon's VA. Best analogy i can give is if you give this murderous bear the voice of mickey mouse.

Honestly, I absolutely love the Japanese voice of Monokuma. As it makes more sense for him to have such a voice due to Enoshima Junko voicing him. Then again, I've always had the preferance for JP dubs.

For context, it just the Spike Chunsoft (the dev) strict streaming rules, which they didnt allow any streaming or recording video past chapter 1 in any danganronpa games until recently in 2022, they lift the ban for danganronpa 1 (THH). But only for the first danganronpa. The 2nd one and V3, even the Another Episode game, they still dont allow to stream it past chapter 1. Which is why pekora and kanata (which they played in 3-4 years ago before the ban lifting) only played chapter 1.
