F A D E D C U L T U R E.
Fading Steps:
1st step, guideline with zero (make sure it drops towards back)
2nd step, guideline with .5 (no guard lever open)
3rd step, guideline 1.5
4th step, 2.5 blend outwards
5th step, 3.5 & 4.5blend outwards
6th, step clipper or shear over comb finish blending to top
7th, step blend out top guideline w/ 1.5 guard open to 3 qtr
8th step, blend second guideline w/ .5 guard open to 3 qtr
9th step, continue blending second guideline w/ 1 guard open to 3 qtr
10th step, blend first guideline w zero, lever closed
11th step, open lever half way, continue blending
12th step, continue blending with lever open
13th step, do any touch up work
14th step, use trimmers to take out bottom hair
15th step, use electric shaver

My 4th time self cutting with this video and the trick for 2:47 & keeping it parallel is to start your blade (wide open) at the original short line and just move it a half inch up that way you are always correctly aligned with your first closed cut you made. Just makes it much easier than guessing and moving up and now you got these crooked lines

Hands down this is the best fading video I’ve seen and Ive watched over 100 on KZfaq. The lever 3/4s open for blending all guidelines except skin guideline which is closed then halfway then open this has greatly helped me!The way adrian explains it you can’t go wrong! Thanks faded culture!

The 8 on top is fire. I’ve always gotten 8 on top, with bald type taper/fade. Mid and high fades expose the balder spots on the upper sides of my head lol. Tough cut🔥

I have receeded temples and a massive forehead. Always left the barber extremely unsatisfied every single time for the past 15 BLOODY YEARS. 6:06 I noticed even with the 3/4ths position I finished my whole cut and still saw a line, I think it should be mentioned to re evaluate that step and then go for a 1/2 close or shorter until it’s fully blended out

I want to start cutting my sons hair. He’s 4 years old. We usually get him a high fade with a half on the sides. Can you do a tutorial on the steps for that? Love your videos and how detailed they are. They’re the best I’ve seen on KZfaq. Would very much appreciate it.
