F A D E D C U L T U R E.
Fading Steps:
1st step, guideline with zero (make sure it drops towards back)
2nd step, guideline with .5 (no guard lever open)
3rd step, guideline 1.5
4th step, 2.5 blend outwards
5th step, 3.5 blend outwards
6th, step clipper or shear over comb finish blending to top
7th, step blend out top guideline w/ 1.5 guard open to 3 qtr
8th step, blend second guideline w/ .5 guard open to 3 qtr
9th step, continue blending second guideline w/ 1 guard open to 3 qtr
10th step, blend first guideline w zero, lever closed
11th step, open lever half way, continue blending
12th step, continue blending with lever open
13th step, do any touch up work
14th step, use trimmers to take out bottom hair
15th step, use electric shaver

As someone in cosmo school..: they teach us one time on a mannequin and it’s essentially more for how to hold clippers etc but not technique. You’re videos have really broken the process down for me and have given me confidence to practice these types of cuts! About to do this one on my son :)

@@dominicbarnes7125 a fade in the mirror is so hard though bro 🥵 The hair cutting I can do something basic. The top is never perfect but it’ll look fine with some hair putty . Sometimes I’ll notice a hair longer, days later and cut it 😆

Great videos! I’m learning to cut my sons’ hair and my own. I find that when creating guidelines for a zero fade, my clipper blades go under hair and it’s hard to tell where the line is at. Do you flick the clipper out to cut that overhanging hair while creating guidelines. Thanks in advance.

Ok first off. My boy is Hispanic, he’s got the exact type of texture in his hair…so finding someone doing this type of hair is extremely helpful. I found your tutorial slightly confusing but that’s just me watching the video for the first time, just lots of steps. I’m confident that I can pull this off tho since you really took your time to show each step. I’m gonna try this tomorrow on my boy, problem is my boys hair is about double the length on sides and 2.5-3x longer on top! I’be been cutting all my boys hair for almost 15 years on/off, but I’m nowhere near as good as you! You got a follow from me for sure!❤️
