Trim top top desired length.
Fading Steps
- Set in guideline with Trimmer
- lever open set in next guideline
- 1 guard lever open next guideline
- 1.5, 2 , guard blend up
- Clipper over comb
- Blend second guideline w/ .5 guard open to 3 qtr
- Continue blending second guideline w/ 1 guard 3qtr
- Blend first guideline w zero, lever closed
- Open lever half way, continue blending
- Continue blending with lever open
- Do any touch up work
- Use trimmers to take out bottom hair
- Use electric shaver
- Do any line up with trimmers
- Shave with straight razor

Mix 2/1 ratio of bleach with developer

A tip on applying bleach after applying the top just as you did, split the top in a center part then apply bleach working your way to the right or left comb out a thin subsection and apply bleach continue this procedure till you reach your final area this will insure that every hair is covered with bleach. Good choice of color

Yall rly the best when it comes to tutorials man. you guys motivated me to cut my own hair. I used to never go to the barber cuz I'm broke and haven't foun a good one yet but now I invested in a clipper and a trimmer so wish me good luck even though I should be fine with these videos.

Tip on the color: it would be better if you would have lifted it pass the yellow tone so that once you use the purple shampoo and toner it will be a level 12 or platinum color. The pink would have popped more with less of a golden undertone if you would have either processed it longer or double processed it. Or maybe even used a real toner not just the shampoo to get the brass out. But you application looked great

Color tips: thinner sections when applying the bleach. Also make sure the hair is completely saturated. If the bleach dries it stops processing. When apply vivid colors. Make sure to Not shampoo the hair when rinsing the color out. Avoid washing for 48hrs

Great job for your first-time doing color. I am not sure what volume developer you used but I would have used 30 volume and processed the hair until it was at least a level 10 or higher. Make sure to take thin, clean sections so the lightener saturates all the way through the hair. A few helpful tips: Level 10 and higher make colors pop, purple shampoo is for yellow tones in the hair and blue shampoo is for orange/ brassy tones.
