27 күн бұрынThe Barbican Estate is one of the largest arts and residential complexes in the world. Built after World War 2 where the area was devastated by air bombing, it has some of the most iconic brutalist buildings anywhere. The estate has 2,000 flats from low rise blocks to three towers, it has various different brutalist designs with an arts, theatre and cinema complex at its heart.
This is aerial footage covering all of the estates various building types giving a unique perspective to this area.

Overall, I like the aesthetic of your videos, Mr. Bruce. Is there any abbreviation (like you used LOL) to convey this impression briefly?

Only thing I can think of is style which means the look and aesthetic as an abbreviation

Sorry Mr. Bruce, blackout in Kyiv. I first saw a color photo of the Barbican when I was a student. It was in the second half of the 1960s. I had a false idea of brutalism and this complex struck me with its very existence. After all, under Soviet propaganda, London was a dying, neglected city like all of Britain. And here is such complex... "Is someone here lying?" - I thought then.

It was build on a heavily bombed area of central London after the war and was really experimental when build which you can see from the video all the different styles. It's a really big complex and personally think it's really beautiful in its own way
