Barbie Fashion Model Collection was introduced in the year 2000. BFMC represents two decades of exquisite fashion inspired by style icons from the 1950s and 1960s. The man behind the incredible Barbie dolls is Robert Best, Senior Design Director at Barbie. Robert's alluring designs were brought to life by an amazing team of artists at Mattel. Barbie Fashion Model Collection is known for its meticulous attention to detail--from gorgeous face painting to stunning embroidery and beadwork. In this video, I present a sampling of dolls and fashions from the first decade of BFMC. Sadly, the series concluded this year on its 20th anniversary. I thought it would be fitting to end 2020 by reminiscing about this astonishing body of work. BFMC is truly Barbie at her beautiful best.
